Hello, everyone!

I've used the internet for quite a long time now. Surfing around, learning stuff, publishing stuff, earning money actually, and there's something I see to many times each day, which I hate. I get a lot of comments and I also surf through different threads/replies/other everyday, noticing this horribleness.

The problem is that people seem to love the art of not typing correctly. This is a problem for me, you, and it's actually a problem for the author, too (I'll get back to this).

Here's a few examples:

"I luvz to use z, cuz itz awzzum"

People seem to have some sort of sexual thing for using "z" instead of "s", and also use it when there's not really anything that indicates a z-sound/s-sound.

"aw, cmon. i only right like tis cuz im lazy
how im supos 2 now how to right good stuff
you r a idiot!! y u say that i cant right good!!!11!"

Sometimes, people just don't care to even correct themselves or write the full word, and replace for ex. "are" with "r" or "why" with "y". Also, people seem to hate the comma, period or using capital letters. This makes the text so heavy and you get tired, just by reading some of it.

"HELLO. I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT WRITING WITH CAPS LOCK ON, MAKES THE TEXT MORE VISIBLE AND EASIER TO READ. SPECIALLY IF I'M WRITING A LONGER TEXT WITH A LOT OF SILLY INFORMATION, NONE REALLY NEED TO READ. HAH! NO NEED TO THANK ME"

Writing with caps lock on/in only capital letters will not make your text easier to read, and the readers can quickly get confused and find it hard to locate where they left off.

"Yo, Dude! I Just Love To Use Big Capital Letters In Front Of Ever Single Word I Type. It Makes My Writing Prettier And I Dont Know Why People Dont Do This. I Cant Really See Anything Wrong With Taking More Time To Hit SHIFT, Every Time I Start A New Word.

Seriously. This is just a waste of time. Your text looks just horrible and not even close to good. This just takes more time. Use capital letters at the beginning of each sentence, every time you write "I" or name/title.

So, why is this a problem?

Well, first of all. This is a problem for me and you, because the message the creator is trying to give us, hides behind a blurriness of bad writing. We see this writing and we get tired, frustrated, angry and maybe leave instead of finishing reading.

Second of all, this is a problem for the author, because he/she just lost two viewers who could have interested themselves in the authors work. The readers who stay and handle the bad writing, will still, most likely, create a bad image of this author in their heads. If the author had written a good text that looked nice, is easy and interesting to read, and contains a richer vocabulary, then people would most likely have received a good impression of the author .

There's no negativity with writing a good text. The purpose of writing a text is to deliver a message. The author is the source and the reader is the receiver. The message is codified by the author and then decodified by the receiver. If the message is codified in a way that makes it harder for the receiver to decodify the message, it will create a interference. The interference is the bad writing. Maybe this text is hard to understand, but that just sets an example on interference.

So what can the author do to deliver the message without interference?

The answer is simple. Write a good text without typos/bad structure. Is it that easy? No. It takes time before you can write good text. It takes a lot practice, actually. If you're not English/American and especially, if you don't take English classes in school, this will be very hard and take more time.

Why should you do it? Well, because of the very reasons I listed above. People will get your message without interference, and interference is bad.

Some tips on how to improve:
  • Try to be a good writer.
  • Use Google Chrome and turn on English spell check (works like Microsoft Word).
  • Read English texts/books more often.
  • Wish for improvement. Set some vague goals.

Will this work?

For this doubt, I'd like you to ask yourself one question. Do you think I'm English/American?

My first language is Norwegian, so saying that English isn't your first language isn't a limit for you to write properly, but I don't know how your education system is back in Russia, and I would guess English classes aren't that common, so you are always excused, but I want you to at least try to write as proper as you can. That would benefit you in the end.

I saw the picture and first I thought is, you are German (because "Bildung" a German word ;) )
Than I saw the caption stating "building*"...
And your question asked in the end, I think you are using the English language as main language :)
(I am sorry for bad English ^,^)
But hey! I like this blog-post!

Mmm, very nice and informative blog.
I don't like when people use bad grammar, or try to replace words with one letter.
That isn't how English is spoken.
It isn't how English is written.
So why should that be the way it is typed?

This is so true. I see people who can't spell at all everywhere, and they never use proper grammar or capitalization either. It's funny, because I can never understand what they're saying. Example: "hey dan check out that wierd hose i wonder wats inside", and then, one time, one of my friends even asked "dan y do u type like that non of us can undrstand what your saying".
