Introduction
I'm writing a logbook about my adventures in the world I made in Minecraft (Triica), so you all get to enjoy my adventures with me. This will be part 1
Kabouters logbook in the world Triica - Day 1
Well, I have to say, I've had quite a journey. I actually had to cross a jungle, unfortunately I was not used to jungle-traveling and have been stupid enough to fall down from a great hight, broke both my legs! I had to set the bones myself and survived in a sort of wooden hut with leaves. It was not much of a house, but it did suffice for the moment. Ones healed I moved on. This Jungle did not seem a good place for me to settle. However, I did take some cocoa-beans. I really like those and I happen to have my grandmothers recipe for some really nice cookies, so they will come in handy. I also took some wood and saplings, I'd like to make good use of those when I'd find a good place to make my living.
Ones done with the jungle, I had to cross an ocean. I've never been that much of a swimmer, but I did manage to make it. Come to think of it, I could have used some of that wood I found to make a boat. I'm sure I could have figured that one out, but oh well, that's all hindsight now. I'll remember for a next time though.
After that ocean however, I found myself in a nice land full of hills, flowers and lavish grass, wich was being enjoyed by some nice sheep. I really like that, because I have taken quite a liking to the fussy little animals. It's too bad I had to kill one. It's still makes me a little sad and guilty about it, but I really needed the wool to make myself a bed. One really needs a bed to sleep in you know, I view it to be essential for your health. It did made a really good bed too.
After that journey I would have liked to rest for a good wile, but one has to be realistic. So I took immediate action. I still had to chop down wood by hand (the blisters...!), because, unfortunately you need wood to make an ax to chop down trees for wood. After some handiwork I had quite enough materials to make me some tools. Live became easier by then. I have to say, I'm quite impressed with my progression.
Having enough wood I quickly built a shack for me to live and work in. I have now: a workbench, some chests, a room for my bed and an attic. It was a little inconvenient that it started raining like cats and dogs before I had finished my roof. It does make one very content however when all that work is done.
I've even been on a quick adventure in a local dungeon around here. It wasn't much of a dungeon, but that's no big deal because I only needed a few materials like stone and coal. As a surprise I even found iron ore. And that on my first day and night, I'm not at all disappointed. So now I also have two furnaces and some basic iron tools to build with.
Having all that I can soon start making a real living here. For now I have to survive on the apples I have found. But I'll cross that bridge when it's due. Having worked the day and night for my primary survival, I think I deserve some rest and I'm taking it!
Until the next entry

Update #1 : by Boskabouter 12/03/2012 11:12:27 amDec 3rd, 2012
Hi folks, I changed the picture with a book and quill because I got that idea during the creation of the image by my third entry and I like to keep some uniformity in the blogposts, I also did a spelling check and I made an Introduction so you guys: the readers, don't suddenly fall into the story, I hope this makes it a little more clear for everyone what's going on.
