I've noticed that new skinners just up and leave Planet minecraft because their skins are not recognized enough and don't get enough credit. I've seen people do that after they've reached a level above my own even a level 34 left because they thought it all pointless.
To me its not all pointless. We make skins because its fun and enjoyable and we like to look good in minecraft. You shouldn't make minecraft skin for regognition, but because you do it for yourselves. You should just keep tyring and make skins, projects, whatever you like doing may take time to get noticed but just wait. some people actually have been on here for more than two years.
Its very sad when young skinners with potential go away and just quit and nobody does anything to care about them.
I'm barely level two and I know these things already from expirience. Just keep going you guys I know we can make it if we stick together.
Why is it that they leave anyways? Is it something to do with other people or what? You know that all the good skinners never started out as pros. They tried new techniques and things to get where they are.
Look at SugarBun she never was pro at first regardless of her first skin on this site. That was NEVER the first skin that she made. Just the first skin she posted here. She probaly went through dozens of trial and error to get where she is. That goes for Meggles and others too.
You guys we should appreciate the new skinners and help them along with their journey here and don't ignore them if they don't have any good skins.
Remember take care of our new friends.

I think a HUGE reason as to why many new skinners leave PMC is because they see people ogling and fawning over skins by popular people like Meggles, Myra_, PanyaKidogo, Jasusey, etc. Things like that can make a person not feel good enough, and they'll leave because they feel unappreciated.
Just because a skin is labeled by its maker doesn't mean its the coolest thing. There are plenty of low level skinners with excellent skins. Show them some love, ya'll.
Again, not trying to be harsh, but if you make skins for Fame and stuffs, you won't get very far.
Everyone started in the dirt. Nobody became famous overnight. The more "popular" skinners are the ones who make skins for fun, because they like it, not because they want recognition.
This is just my opinion, sorry if I offended anyone.
(Edit: Oh, and nice blog. I agree that we all need a certain level of recognition to keep our motors running, but if you run only on recognition, you'll get an empty tank soon. And, you know, you'll have to call a taxi or something. I hate taxis)
