intro

this post is slightly late since i had actual other responsibilities yesterday and then instead of writing this i sorted stardew valley mod files, cause apparently that's my idea of fun. starting to think i should be posting about stardew mods instead of minecraft considering i've been playing it a lot more recently. nonetheless halloween mod review!



what is werewolves?

werewolves: become the beast is a fairly direct mod, it allows you to become a werewolf. which makes it the perfect companion to the vampirism mod i talked about last week, since everyone knows vampires and werewolves are lovers rivals. nonetheless this mod allows for all your werewolf dreams to be a reality, it even allows you to take different paths in your journey for wolf-dom. functionally this mod works pretty similar to vampirism since it's made by the same person but there is some small differences.

the skill trees

while i of course like the same things i mentioned with vampirism, i wanted to talk about the one bigger difference with this mod. this mod allows you to choose different werewolf forms and what skills you want for your werewolf self. you can either choose to truly become the beast, or to take a more survivalist approach, you can even decide to try and stay as human as possible. these options allow for you to customize your experience with this mod quite a bit which is always great especially if you are trying to create a story line.

villager missions

okay so, this is entirely a me thing. i just don't really like villager missions in minecraft mods, i like to play minecraft like the sandbox it is so playing fetch with some random guy to level something up annoys me. whether you enjoy fetch quests or not, they are optional in this mod and are only there for becoming and leveling up as a werewolf lord, which allows you to summon minions and such. i still enjoy playing this mod, i just usually ignore this aspect since it's not my favourite. i just needed a dislike to list here.

final thoughts

werewolves: become the beast is a great mod for adding onto vampirism with some more supernatural creature diversity. if you were looking for mods for you twilight roleplay server then these are perfect, or just for general play obviously. i have a soft spot for werewolves and vampires so of course i recommend these mods.
