We began on what you would call a frigid planet. Kyremia's surface was eroded by perpetual storm in the few areas that were not lifted above the cloud layer by tectonic forces. Our azure sun was strong, but the particles whipped into the air by the wind made what you know as "vision" difficult. Henceforth, we see the magnetic fields of every atom, every wave, and communicate with them.

It was this affinity with electromagnetism that led to our fascination with the universe- watching the constant ballet of ions decoupling and recoupling enthused us to understand this beautiful progress of cause and effect. We tested different patterns of electromagnetic fields, and gradually we grew to understand how the universe operates. We knew the turbulence constant for quantum foam, yet we still lacked the energy to shape our galaxy.

A great project was undertaken. Thousands of us calculated the turbulence constant for our planet, and we funnelled all the ferocity in the winds of Kyremia through a valley on the planet's equator. Automated constructor craft, utilising huge spun graphene sails to capture the wind, were launched from this gorge, shooting into suborbital trajectories before decoupling their payloads, which then thrusted on the fabric of the universe to orbit our sun.

Soon, a large network of entropy funnels was orbiting our world and powering our experiments. We created engines that could move and shape worlds, faster than light travel and even rudimentary wormhole technology. We started exploring the stars that hung above, tantalising us, hoping they would deepen our understanding of the universe. They did not- however, the parallax we noted intrigued us.

Soon, our explorative venture had enveloped an entire arm of our galaxy as we jumped further and further away from our home. We funneled the entropy out of the singularity at our galactic core, sending it via wormhole to our Explorators and our planets so that they could function indefinitely. However, the universe began to turn against us- our turbulence calculations were constantly edited to compensate for the expansion of the universe itself.

This had several consequences, all of which manifested when the entropy funnels of our galactic singularity catastrophically malfunctioned, generating spacetime fluctuations that shot our limitless fleets through unstable wormholes to locations beyond our detection- even the entire Alterniaum system was lost to us. Our civilisation was pushed to the limits. We had foolishly trusted our singularity with all of our infrastructure.

A great exodus was undertaken. The last functioning World Engine, that of our oldest world Kyremia and the only specimen too obsolete to be connected to the singularity, was reactivated. As we pondered our next port of call, we recieved a faint FTL communication from our closest galactic neighbour, followed by thousands more from every point in the universe- our ships had survived, and were calling for us.

A decision was made. Kyremia would sail to the Milky Way. The engine lassooed our star and we set off into the void. Throughout the journey, we encountered an unforseen error, a "difference of opinion." Some of us wanted to expand into the universe through the power of technology and recover our lost fleets, and so they began to develop technology on a scale beyond our understanding. Some of us never wanted to repeat history's mistakes.

Some of us were disgusted with the bifurcation, and so before Kyremia had even left what you would know as "Andromeda", they took off into the warp. We have not heard from them since. The other faction we will always hear from. Upon our arrival, they proceeded to blast into the galaxy, marauding, unstoppable. Changing their shape, they constructed gigantic beacons and warp funnels until they encountered opposition from the "Republic of the Dragon" whilst we tried to keep our history and traditions intact.

They thought this was unacceptable. There was a war. We won by flying Kyremia close to the event horizon of the Milky Way's black hole, crashing our ancient moon into their new singularity engine. There was a cost. Kyremia took us into the orbit of a gas giant in the Teset system, close to a newborn civilisation, but it would never fly again- we could no longer understand the calculations of the era that created this marvel of technology.

Our winds howl no more. And so we wait, landlocked on our silent planet. I fear we may lose ourselves to further division while we wait to be discovered, and so this log serves as a reminder of what we were, what we are, and what we should not be.

So the moon orbiting Teset is going to be foreign then? And is gus still planning on being "part of" the species or did he decide to do something else.
