Linkseyi's Modmaker is a program made by the Minecraft Form User, linkseyi. This specific program is used to make and create mods with the click of a few buttons. You can check out the mod here but before doing so, read on.

The Real Problem


After Linkseyi's Modmaker has become extremely popular, there is one problem to that. In the submission rules it quotes, "using programs to generate content for you does not make the content yours." Singling out here, Modmakers such as Linkseyi's. But the problem is, all around the "mods" section of Planet Minecraft, our beloved site, whenever you download a mod, do you ever see the file named, 'linkseyi' or '(modname).lksy'? Being honest here, we all have if you are a mod downloader. What is this file here for? It means the mod was generated with Linkseyi's Modmaker. I and most of the other users on planetminecraft see this on nearly 65% of the mods we see in the 'mods' section. Not being a mini-mod but, again, Linkeyi's Generated mods are not allowed to be posted on Planet Minecraft, it even says in the Minecraft Forum post by linkseyi himself quoting "I have gotten requests from sites which do not want a large amount of feature-incomplete mods to be posted on their site." You can find this quote in the FAQ of the post.


How can we help?


We -the great community of Planetminecraft- can help stop this madness by doing the following :


- Reporting the mods as 'Illegal' saying it is made with Linkseyi's Modmaker. This helps the great staff of Planet Minecraft see the posters have done wrong.
