Hello,

Welcome to my writing contest submission entry to "Little Light" began origionally by jellyfishh.

I would like to specify that the beginning paragraph is written by Shadow, and the next 6 paragraphs to follow are written by me.

You can check out more of my work on my profile page Advolton.

Without further to do, enjoy my submission and immerse yourself into my story.

The full moon shined through the dark purple clouds. Its rays reached the forest to make the dewdrops glitter. All the forest is quiet and still.. until there is a small light floating above a lily, like a tiny star that came from the heavens. It then dreamily fluttered through a clump of forget-me-nots and flew slowly to a small door at the base of a tree. It carefully opened it and tiptoed inside...

The silence of the room was daunting and the dark, empty atmosphere was swayed by the peircing lights of what seemed like an angel, slowly fluttering deeper into the darkness. Then, suddenly, there was a whistle, assuming the sound came from the winds outside, the unreconized entity continued. The sound of the whistling got louder, almost as-if the entity was approaching a steam kettle, suprisingly, it wasn't a kettle at-all.

The whisteling was generated from a keyhole, a very, very small keyhole in a damanged door at the bottom of the tree, the bright purple rays reflected into the room and lit it up like a neather portal. Upon reaching to open the small door, the tree bark began to fall around the entity, slowly revealing the unforgiven forrest the entity was exploring, no longer quiet or still, but bursting with colors and sounds. Slowly over the trees in the distance, came thousands of fireflies, or so it was assumed. It later became clear upon closer inspection that they were little angels, this is when the realization kicked in and so called entity had the instant suprise that she was in-fact an angel too.

The angel quickly got herself together and flew up to the group, which then travelled far and wide across the vibrant colorful forrest, sandwhiched between camoflaged purple clouds and fresh, sweet grass. Eventually, the angels stopped at a village, the village was peaceful and residented with local villagers, before they awoke from their beds, the angels flew down to the village and began to merge into the villagers. Confused, the angel panicked, not knowing what to do, she followed along with the others and whilst all the villagers were occupied, there was one left alone, aside the window of where the purple rays shon in, tucked under a paper-thin blanket, holding a stick in his left hand.

It soon became clear why the angel was attracted to the tree, it wasn't a coincidence, it didn't come down to luck, the villagers worked during the day with the power of the angels inheriting them, lighting a fire in their souls. At night, when everyone is sleeping, the angels are free to roam, and explore where the villagers shown them, this is the only place they feel safe before sunrise. The mining angles flew into the mine, the building angels flew to construction sites, and the lumberjack angels flew towords the trees.

This explained the reason the angel found the tree, and further secrets where revealed down the line as time went on, yet nothing explained the small damanged door that was never opened. The next night fell, and again the angel flew back to the tree it previously located, tiptoed back inside the dark, empty room and continued to the bottom of the tree, but to her suprise, there was no door this time? What happened? Where did it go? Disapointed, the angel left the tree, waited for the group to fly-by, re-joined and flew back to the village in-time for the awakening.

Although the angel never found out what was behind the door, she learnt a valuble lesson. In life, there are some thing that you're not meant to see, paths you're not meant to take, choices you're not meant to make, in doing so, you can effect the future in a positive or negative way, it's a roulette, truth be told, the night the angel went to open the door, she would have made a huge mistake, but the angel watching over her, used her magical, magestic powers to destory the tree and distract her away. You always have someone watching over you, this is why you should always trust your gut, it doesn't matter what your job is, what you forget, who you meet, how you feel, the angel went through all of these stages in the story, what matters is you stay in track, stick to your routine, and only open new doors if your gut tells you it's the right thing to do.

As the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat.

Only make the choices you're comfortable and 100% with.

With that concludes my short story about an unknown entity who later realizes she's an angel, who could have made a huge mistake, but was saved by the entity watching over her, and so you should take this story away with you for the choices you make yourself in life.

I hope you enjoyed, good-luck to everyone else who entered this community event.

All the best, Advolton.
