Hello guys it is MegaManChiefFan here and since my latest blog got SO MUCH excellent feedback to the point making it on the popular blog reel on PMC, I decided to make a sequel. Now this will be blocks only, no items or mobs, BUT if this is popular enough, I will make a third one of these for perks with MOBS! But enough of me rambling, these are my ideas!

Moss on Mossy Cobblestone can slowly spread: Moss on Cobblestone can now spread onto clear cobblestone. For example, a dungeon can slowly be completely covered in ALL mossy cobblestone and not just some!

Cobwebs can be craftable: 5 string in an "x" formation on a crafting table will give you your very own cobweb!

Beacons can emit beams with only one ore block: No more need to make a whole pyramid, place one ore block and put a beacon above it and it will emit a small beam. But you will make a small pyramid for a full beam.

Crafting recipes: For not only adding cobweb recipes, but for command blocks, sponges, and cocoa pods

Cauldrons can hold lava: May seem pointless but it could be cool. Pour a bucket of lava into a cauldron and fill it up!

Cacti can grow 4 blocks tall: Sugar Cane can now grow 4 blocks naturally, so why not cacti?

Soul Sand is now a full sized block: If you didn't know soul sand is slightly smaller then most blocks, so why not let it grow a little and be just as tall as the other blocks? Yet another pointless idea but it can get annoying at times (Like when walking through a door in soul sand) :|

Shrubs have a different texture then Dead bushes: They both have the same look, so why not one different from the other?

Make Sand and Gravel break when they fall from HIGH places (20 blocks or higher): It seems logicall that they would fall apart when they fall from a high place, but in MC, they don't. So let this become a thing! Yet again ANOTHER pointless idea but.......yeah XD

You can mine the Dragon Egg: You must first hit it once with a pickaxe, then it will stay still. Then you can mine it up and use it as a decoration back at home!

So those were my Block perk ideas for Minecraft. And I KNOW that half of them would be pretty much useless, but they are a bit logical and cool! But that could be me. But now I want to ask you guys...

What Ideas do yuo guys have for Block perks in Minecraft?

I think there is reason most of these blocks can't be crafted in survival. I mean, either they're too OP (eg: command block) or they are naturally spawning (I mean, you can't make cocao pods in real life using cocao beans, can you?)

But I do agree that cobwebs and double slabby things should be able to be crafted.

BTW: the dragon egg is atainable through the use of a piston and minimal effort :)

Craftable double slabs such as 43:8 and 43:9. Would be great for us builders if building in survival :)

Yeah... not very logical im afraid.
  • Cobwebs are tiny delicate things that us advanced humans strugle to replicate, let alone medieval bloody seteve. I would agree to agree with an alternate crafting recipy for string, however. Spiders as the soul source seems a bit stupid.
  • A crafting recipy for command blocks is ludicrous should the player choose to take advantage of it and if they dont they'd have no use for a crafting recipy. Command blocks have no place in survival
  • 'Why not' does not justify a change and in the case of soulsand, the slight height decrease compared to other blocks affords it interesting attributes. As to cacti, you could make the case that IRL, cacti are known to grow up to 13m high.
  • Green shrubs do have a different texture to brown shrubs - one is green and one is brown. They share the same model, hence their categorisation as 'shrubs'.
  • The dragon egg is already obtainable by extending a piston into the egg which cases the egg item to drop. I find this more interesting and challenging than simply mining the darn thing like  every other block in the game.
  • I can see some interesting applications for a lava cauldron. Not a half bad idea actually.

Not all of them are supposed to be logical. Some would be just "Cool" for MINECRAFT. Some are logical like the moss one and the sand one. Not all of the posts are logical just some. That is why it is Logical/Cool in the title, showing that it can be either. I think you can guess the ones that are meant to be cool for Minecraft like the cobweb and the crafting recipes ones. But compared to the items blog I made, this is no where near as good of ideas as that one has.

Crafting recipies for command blocks is neither cool nor logical. Its gamebreaking.

Not actually, command blocks cannot be edited in survival, so, it would just be totally pointless.

Moss on stone-sounds good but would be obnoxious for builders.

Cobweb crafting-I like it :D

Beacons-Would be cool for decoration, just as long as they didn't give potion effects.

Crafting-How do you craft command blocks, sponges, and cocoa beans? HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE!? How do you crafft a plant? How are command blocks not useless since you have to be opped?

Cauldrons-Wow, that's really nice.

Cacti-Okay

Soul sand-I like it small, it's good for traps.

Shrubs-Okay

Sand & gravel-That's just annoying.

Dragon egg- 'hit with a pickaxe, then mine' How does the game know when you're mining and when you're tapping?
