Fans of 4J Studios’ console ports of Minecraft received a new title update in March 2015 that has been available for download across all platforms. Furthermore, Microsoft announced on March 24 that a new texture pack DLC was also released on both Xbox and Playstation systems on Tuesday the following week.

The Pattern Texture Pack gives console players access to a new purchasable Minecraft add-on that turns the title’s blocky map, and everything else in it, into a colorful piñata-themed world. After being applied, the newest texture pack DLC for Minecraft’s console versions will transform the various characters, creatures, landscape, and user interface using brand-new skins.

In addition to the newly available Pattern Texture Pack, Minecraft fans can also now pick up the Mass Effect Mash-up Pack on Playstation consoles. The DLC was previously only available on Xbox versions of the block-filled title, but has now finally released on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. Based on BioWare’s popular sci-fi franchise, the mash-up pack add-on includes new skins, music, and more to give gamers the tools to build their own Mass Effect-inspired creations within Minecraft.

Also released that week, according to the writing website data 4J Studios confirmed that a new title update is now available for both the Xbox and Playstation editions of Minecraft. The patch primarily applies fixes to known bugs but also includes a few new features, such as the ability to easily transfer items by adding a “quick move” option to horse inventory.

4J Studios’ console versions of Minecraft can now be found across various Playstation and Xbox systems. This week’s new title update, as well as the Pattern Texture Pack DLC, is now available on all platforms.
