Gamers BEWARE! According to Express.co.uk (http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/563822/Call-of-Duty-World-of-Warcraft-Minecraft-fans-virus-ransom-save-files), a ransomware virus has 40 games under attack, such as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and our beloved Minecraft.
Ransomware is software that upon opening will give you a screen similar to the one above. The ransomware will demand that, hence the name, a ransom be payed, usually in Bitcoin or other expensive electronic currency.
A researcher at a security firm "Bromium" revealed that the infection is from a WordPress blog that seemingly hosts the file that uses a loophole in Flash to infect visitors.
This new crypto-ransomware, called "TeslaCrypt" aims to make gamers pay to unlock what they already own.
