Haven't you ever noticed that some Youtubers like SkyDoesMinecraft and Captain Sparklez get all the fame and glory on Youtube. Many people subscribe to their channel and support them, but they never thank you. You send them a message through Youtube or through Facebook, and they just ignore you. Many people criticize 12 year olds as " Not being mature enough." and I agree some 12 year olds are not mature enough but that doesn't mean you can label every 8-12 year old as immature. There are many 8-12 year olds that want to have a Youtube channel like SkyDoesMinecraft, but they always get stopped either by some random idiot that said " You have a squeaky voice." or by their parents. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't subscribe to people like Captain Sparklez, on the other hand support new youtubers, let them know that the comunity is behind them. Don't be that jerk that calls everyone a noob. Remeber we are one comunity and by helping the new generation of youtubers/minecrafters we will grow even more in the future.

I am a new youtuber called the vanilla redstoner, please check me out and subscribe. Here is a link to my channel.
What do you expect, of course they are going to ignore you. They don't have the time to make a video and then read over 5000 messages a day from fans.. Plus you shouldn't take offense by being called a noob, only a noob would call somebody a noob. But it's the internet, a perfect community without jerks just simply will not exist.

Okay, I have a lot of things to say here. 1-Those Youtubers have worked their asses off making quality content and growing there channel. They didn't JUST become famous. 2-Nearly every other video I watch with them they say "Thanks guys for _ millions subscribers, I couldn't be here without you . . ." 3-Yeah, I gotta agree with how people can just write off a good youtuber cause they're young. It is pretty sad.
I disagree with you that the big youtubers never thank their subscribers. SkyDoesMinecraft got all teary eyed after he got 7 million subscribers. CaptainSparklez also thanked his subscribers by doing an epic omegle special where he went around thanking people.

"Youtubers like SkyDoesMinecraft and Captain Sparklez get all the fame and glory on Youtube."
Well, yeah, they make cool stuff, they got popular, they made more cool stuff, they became some of the most famous gamers in the world. I think they deserve that after their work, don't you?

"Many people subscribe to their channel and support them, but they never thank you."
Well, yeah, let's just ignore all those videos they've posted where they say "Thanks so much for _ million subs, I never thought I'd make it this far and I just want to thank each and every one of my fans for all the support they've given me."

"You send them a message through Youtube or through Facebook, and they just ignore you."
Well, yeah, they've each got over seven million subscribers. You try replying to millions of people trying to contact you through fifteen different social media accounts, most of them with bad grammar and sappy "you're my idol" fanboy moments. I'm sure when they only had less than 1k subs they did their best to reply to them all, but over time it just becomes too much. Reply to Jimmy and seven million other Jimmys start complaining about how that Jimmy got a reply, why don't the other seven million Jimmy's get a reply?

The rest, cool.

The problem is, every person who plays minecraft wants to have a youtube channel. If you really want to be popular you need to get sponsers and be unique.

Well spoken post by the way! Well done!
I totally agree, exept for the fact of those people who want to be EXACTLY like a certain youtuber, so they copy everything about them. From Slang, to setup to what they record!

But other then that, I agree. So what if they have a squeaky voice, if they record good footage and are funny, it shouldn't matter. And so many haters dont even watch their videos. They look at their subscriber count, if it's low, then they just post hateful comments. I know how tough it is myself for starting a YT channel :)

I am a brand new Youtuber, I am 15 and I hope one day to have a successful channel and to entertain people all around the world! I make Minecraft videos such as play throughs of custom maps and even a long running pure vanilla survival series! It is hard getting noticed, it would be awesome if some of you guys could help me out and take the time to watch one of my videos, maybe even subscribe :) http://www.Youtube.com/Zetobyte Thanks again!

What irks me about this issue is the people who want to be EXACTLY like Sky.  These people tend to copy what Sky does to make his channel unique, which is very bad for their channel.  If small YouTubers want to become more popular, they need to start offering something new and unique.  For example, SkyDoesMinecraft and CaptainSparklez are both very popular for their playing of Minecraft.  However, they each offer something extremely different.  Sky is more of a comedy Minecrafter, and CaptainSparklez is a more a bit more serious, without being a stone wall.
So the people who name their channels ______DoesMinecraft, and do tons of mod reviews, scream, and hate on squids need to either find something unique to do, or do something other than YouTube, because obviously they are not creative enough to think of their own unique ideas.

SkydoesMinecraft has 9.7 million subscribers. Do you really expect him (or other popular youtubers) to message back each and everyone of them? >.>
Some parts are true about Youtube but it's not the fault of people like SkyDoesMinecraft and Captain Sparklez. If they don't reply that doesn't mean that they don't care about their subscribers. But even I (as a really small Youtuber) am sometimes annoyed by messages I get.Just as an example: for some reason people spam me with funny cat videos. I don't know why, I never asked for funny cat videos but still people send them because they want to share their funny moments with me. So the idea behind that was cool but when you get the same video send to you by 7 different people...well it's just a bit too much sometimes. An other example would be request that I get like "do you wanna play Minecraft with me? I wanna play Minecraft with you so bad!!" Again this is a nice message but I already have a few friends I play Minecraft with + the time I spend making Minecraft videos. It's just really hard to play Minecraft with everyone who wants to play Minecraft with you. I still answer to every message I get (unless it's a cat video :D) but I only have 600 subscribers. Now image you'd have 7 million or even 9 million and only 1% of your subscribers asks you to take a look at their channel. That'd be 70k or 90k messages. How is someone supposed to answer to so many messages? Even if you'd get those message over the time of one year, that'd still be more than 200 per day.
Another point is that the messages you get are sometimes really disapointing. "Take a look at my channel, it's awesome. Nearly as good as yours" and SkyDoesMinecraft clicks the link just to see a channel with one video of a kid screaming (or the opposite: saying nothing interesting at all) while playing Minecraft in 144p.
Now a third point as well as a little tip for smaller Youtubers: think about the advantages. If someone with a few million subs puts your channel into his sub box it is a big advantage for you. But what is his advantage? That is another reason why big Youtubers don't do that. But you will quite often find equally big Youtubers in their subboxes because then it is an advantage for both sides. Now my advice is that you don't try to convince a big Youtuber of your talent but rather than that smaller ones. Ones that have an equal number of subscribers. Also remember to help out smaller Youtubers since that is what you want others to do for you as well. Maybe a few bigger Youtubers will share your channel but you should also keep in mind that there are Youtubers that are less sucessfull than you so don't be a jerk and only think about yourself. :P
Moral of the story: people who are nice, kind and helpfully will receive more help than a selfish person.

Well, really, kids under 13 shouldn't have a youtube. But this IS rather ageist, when people call 8-12 year olds immature.
Agree. I started my channel on August 12, 2012 for the purpose of liking and commenting on videos. I think around October 2013 I started making videos. The first few videos have no voice of me and the second to the rest of the videos have a voice now. I think it takes guts to record with your voice for the first time but hey at least it is worth the try :)

1: that is in no way racism. Racism is discrimination of race and skin pigment.

2: Do you know how many people message them every day? A lot. Do you expect them to respond to every single one?

Thats very true. I agree with everything especially the part about youtubers not caring about their subscribers. On my newish youtube channel I respond to every comment I can find and think of a responce too :) I am 14 now and my voice has changed so the squeaky voice thing and immature thing isnt a problem for me much but I still agree with that too. And as a newish youtuber (2 monthes old, 100 videos, 50 subs so far) I loved when you said "support new youtubers, let them know that the comunity is behind them. Don't be that jerk that calls everyone a noob." I wish there were more people out there in the world like you its great when I get a supportive comment. (so far I have gotten zero noob comments though :D)
