I have recently come across a nifty program called MCreator and found it to be interesting and effective for what its made for but...
It would seam that anyone who has been programming for any decent length of time is getting upset that this program exist. I understand the situation with a program that makes what you do so easy that a "noob" can do it, but does that mean its a bad program?
I see this program as a great place for a "noob" to modding would get a better understanding of how a program work and what they need to know to really make a good mod. It may also change the time it takes to make a mod to be a fraction of the time but I see nothing wrong with it.
If an experienced programmer decided to use this program to develop a new mod then they would come up with a well built mod much faster and they could fine tune the mod in the code itself. That doesn't make it any less of a mod or take away any of its quality. All that changed was the mod took a fraction of the time to make. This means that good mods can be made more often and the programmer can move on to bigger and better things. Is this a problem?
I can see how a bunch of kids would make random BS mods or low quality work but that should not take away from the potential for a great mod to be made from someone who has a great idea but not the best programming skills.
I am sure that MCreator was meant to make a painstakingly long term project just a bit easier and to give the average player a chance to share their ideas.
Maybe MCreator should not be allowed for low level PMC users but people who have reached a level that shows they at least do decent work or work hard on their projects. This would reduce the "spam" of bad mods and allow for decent work to be posted even if that user is not a great programmer. I am sure a level can be decided on by the staff of PMC.
That all being said I would like to know what your thought are on the matter.
FYI: I am not a pro programmer but I understand programming as I do a lot of HTML/XML/Javascript/css and so on. So I would find this program very helpful.
P.S. I can see an arguement for both sides but I still feel that it is less harmfull than it is usefull.

I wish there was a section in PMC for those mods. It would alleviate the problem IMO.
I see no reason why that would be a problem should be easy enough to set up so it can be controlled.
