This mod takes smithing to a whole new level.

The Metalworks mod will be basically an expansion to crafting with metal ingots to create more weapons, tools, armor, and maybe even upgraded metalworking objects. It's based all around metal.

First up is how you get started with creating the new tools in this mod. First, you will need some obsidian, iron ingots, nether brick, and netherrack.

1. Take 1 block of obsidian and put it in a furnace. This will create 1 block of hardened obsidian.
2. Take your hardened obsidian and put one block in the centre of the crafting table, then put 8 iron ingots all the way around. This will create Obsidian alloy.
3. Put 5 netherrack in a furnace to create nether clay.
4. Put 4 nether brick in a furnace to create soft nether.
5. Using a crafting table, put 4 nether clay in the corners and then one in the middle, then fill the rest with soft nether to create a hard nether brick.
6. Using a crafting table, take 5 nether clay and put them in an x shape, then fill the rest with 4 hard nether bricks. This will form one "blast furnace base" block.
7. Put a blast furnace base block in a furnace to create a "blast furnace base L2" block. Put that L2 block back in the furnace to create a "blast furnace base L3" block, then put that L3 block in a furnace to create a "blast furnace bricks" block

To create a blast furnace make a 3x3 layer of blast furnace bricks, then create a 5 block tall ring around that of blast furnace bricks.
