Microfantasia - Chapter 2

Kuro walked into Shiro's room and bent down to her body. He almost wanted to cry as he felt his little sister's body so cold and pale. Kageko was muttering to himself things and biting his thumbnail mourning over Shiro. Kuro held Shiro's body to him as tears went down his face. The neighbors, including Mrs. Wheatfield, all gathered at the house and mourned over the loss of Shiro. Shortly after, one man, around the age of 24, came in the room and looked around. Kageko was unfamiliar with the man at all and flumoxedly began to speak.
"Who are you?" Kageko asked.
"Hm ... this is very much looking like suicide .... but then again, if the girl died overnight .... it's possible that this was a murder," the man muttered.
"Who are you?" Kageko repeated.
"Oh, I am known as Meitantei Ao Kyoko. I came to investigate." the man introduced.
"Meitantei? So you're a detective?" Kuro asked.
"Yes, I am!" Kyoko answered.
"Then what is this problem looking like?" Kuro asked.
"Tell me boy, who was the last one to come into this room?" Ao asked.
"I was, but I didn't come near her at all. I only opened the door, standing in the hallway, spoke to her and closed the door," Kuro answered.
"What were you two talking about, and how long did you speak to her?" Ao inquired with a small notepad and pen in his hand.
"I was telling her goodnight and it was barely even for a minute," Kuro answered.
"And tell me, what time was it at the moment?" Ao asked.
"Hmm .... let me think ...... it was sometime around 11:15 last night, cause I take 5 minutes to get ready for bed and I checked the time once I got into bed. The time was 11:20," Kuro answered.
"Hmm .... did she at all get out of the room?"
"No, not of what I was awake for. And I was awake for quite awhile since it takes me awhile to fall asleep."
"Hm ... does she fall asleep quickly?"
"Yes, somewhat she does."
"Mmhmm .... and did you make her dinner?"
"No, I don't touch anything in the kitchen at all besides the tools used to serve the food and occasionally the cabinet. I also don't touch her plate and utensils. Also, last night, I had her serve me my food since I had a bad cramp."
"Hmm .... I see ... so there's obviously no time that you could've set the trap for murder."
Ao turned the page on his small notepad and turned to Kageko.
"What about you? What was the last time you saw the victim?" Ao asked.
"I was on the way to bed, my daughter was wiping down the table at the time. I went to bed early because I didn't sleep well the previous night," Kageko answered.
"I can confirm that my father went to bed early last night, I was on the way to my room when I saw him saying goodnight to my sister. I also saw him enter his room and close the door," Kuro stated.
"Hmm ... and how long were you with her?" Ao asked Kageko.
"I was walking by. It was very brief, less than a minute," Kageko answered.
"And did you make any contact with her body at all?" Ao continued to inquire.
"No, like I said, I was only walking by," Kageko answered.
"Can you confirm this?" Ao questioned turning to Kuro.
"Yes," Kuro answered.
"Very well then .... the only thing I can think of ... is suicide, I'm afraid. But I will continue to analyze into this," Ao said with a sigh.
"I see .... now that I think about it, Shiro was very depressed about her life. She hated it, so that may be a motivation to commit suicide," Kageko muttered.
"I see .... well, continue with your lives, I will look into this case," Ao said and left.

Shiro woke up in the middle of nowhere. She looked at the beautiful clouds as she was laying down on grass. She sat up and looked around. Curious on where she was, whether she was in the afterlife or not, she got up and started looking around. Occasionally, she'd call out, "Hello?" in a random direction, but no answers came. She found that she was alone, with no one to talk to or be with. All she could think about is the fact that the last thing she remembered was that she drank the liquid in the bottle and felt like she was gonna die and she felt much pain on the inside and eventually fell unconscious. She also thought about the fact that after waking up from unconsciousness she woke up in the middle of nowhere.
"Man, Mrs. Wheatfield was soooo right about this! It's so peaceful, I'm all alone!" Shiro said. "I wonder if there's even a butterfly that exists in this world."
It was shortly after that, that a bunny hopped out of practically nowhere. Someone would probably think, "Aww, cute little bunny!" and all of that, but this bunny wasn't the little one around there. Shiro, in fact, found herself panicking.
"40k-foot bunny!!!!!" Shiro screamed and started running away. "Help! Anyone! Help me!!! I take it back, this is not peace!!!"
But for some reason, the bunny paid no attention to her. It was as if Shiro was too small for it to even see her. Shiro stopped running and screaming and approached the bunny carefully. She reached its tail, where she climbed up onto the enormous cotton ball of fluff, and yet, it still had no reaction. She climbed up higher, on its back, and it still made no movement besides its normal breathing an its natural blink. She climbed up even higher, on the back of its neck, and it still didn't react. She then was ready for a bigger risk and challenge--to climb on top of its head. She, in fact, did just that, and the bunny still made no reaction. She then started touching its ear and such, but the bunny didn't move at all.
"Okay, so, either this bunny is completely numb and can't feel a thing, or I'm too small for it to care. Otherwise, I'm too small for it to even feel me," Shiro muttered.
She looked at the view in admiration and smiled. She felt the nice breeze, she felt the bunny's fur so soft, she saw the beautiful, unbelievably blue sky, she looked at the mountainous tall, perfectly green grass, and she admired it all. She finally sighed and said, "Either I'm microscopic, or just plain gone ..... and whatever the crazy case is ... I hope I'm not alone."
