Let me rephrase that Microsoft is buying MOJANG and not minecraft even thaught minecraft will be technicly owned by microsoft. Why does everybody is saying on youtube and instagram its the end of minecraft ?? IT IS NOT ! Why would it be anyways ? That means the profit will go to them but mojang empoye will get paid Okay? Okay. So that means that Mojang and all it product all it produces will be Mojang's but the profit will go to microsoft they may add some feature but they wont really change the whole concept of the game. Any way monthly payment are you freaking kinding me this will  not happen people wouldnt buy the game anymore and how much would peoplepay a dollar? They would'nt pay again unless you are a very spoiled child . I f they do it would go down less profit no points .

Im fine with it unless...
1. No monthly fee
2. No "Special Content" (DLC crap)
3. Support for all softwares (Mac/Linux)
4. No making minecraft crap like by taking out things and or changing the look of it.

They have said countless times that they aren't going to do any of that, quit overreacting, and stop acting like it's the end of the world.

It's not the end of the world, and I know if someone else bought minecraft (like mac) windows users would react the same way if not worse. Also I said im fine with it if they keep it the same.

You realize Mac isn't a company, it's a computer.

Yes, I do realize that, its like saying games are for PC. PC is not a company. If you have to be that picky about my word choice for something that similar then fine, Apple. I thought people would be able to connect the two dots between Mac and Apple but I guess I overestimated people once again. Sorry for confusing you.

I think everyone is overreacting.  Microsoft is just a bunch of people, not a power-hungry single entity that turns everything it touches into Microsoft-world.  Now, while of course Minecraft will change a bit under new minds and new management, but why does everyone think it's going to be a bad thing?

You have got to be seven or quite young. You can't even spell properly. I can't see how anybody can respect your opinion if they have any brain cells. You don't think education is important and you assume Microsoft owning minecraft will ruin everything. They won't add a monthly payment for no reason, they won't remove mod support and they certainly won't make DLC for PC version. Microsoft isn't full of idiots.

Also if they did, you probably would still buy the DLC and pay for Minecraft considering you probably don't even know what torrenting is, probably suck at building and are too young to understand that education is important.

That filthy microsoft! I don't want to have to pay for skins and mods and what not! I like minecraft and I don't want Notch and the other developers to leave! Why microsoft? Why have you bought minecraft? What will happen to Planet Minecraft? Will the title screen never say "minceraft" again? If you ruin minecraft, then Minecraft 1.8 is as far as I'm going!

Simple, if you don't want to be "Minecrosoft" player, then stop playing. No one is forcing you to play and you have every right to leave.
But...despite all the complaining, are you really going to do that?

My oppinoin -

I personaly think that if Microsoft buys MineCraft and sets in monthly payment, you could always just say No to any update, but on the other site.

Your right... Microsoft will screw up MineCraft and the community will most likely fall appart if this "Monthly" payment gets in. They'll have to remember that not all of us have a good job, not all of us are in the age allowed to work, which would mean goodbye to all the small kids playing Minecraft
(Adults be like: AWW YEAH!)
But if they get removed, then who is going to drive (Just an example) Hypixels server? Because most of the players appart from all the YouTubers, playing on Hive, Hypixels, or whatever!
Is about the age of: 8-14.

My opinion is somewhere around the letter C.

I don't think they would increase they would actually do that monthly payment because, if you go to minecraft.net and see how many people are buying MC in a second, it's quite alot of people, maybe Microsoft might be a little bit of a money stealer, but if they do that monthly payment or do any $100 dollar price changing so many people will be upset and obviously will spread through youtube fast and become the worst game in the history of games.

And also many people are duplicating Minecraft so they better watch their step <.< 'Cause ya know we can just switch to the duplications of Minecraft.

Think of it, Microsoft loves DLC, and think of how many mods there are, all those DLCs and payed subscriptions to the mods for updates and stuff

I'm C. It doesn't matter if Microsoft buys Mojang... (yes they bought Mojang, not Minecraft) Mojang will still be in charge of Minecraft and it will still be getting more awesome. Why would they ruin something they spent 2.5 billion on? It would bring a lot of hate to Microsoft. The only changes are probably going to be that Minecraft will  become available on Windows Phones etc etc.

calm down. pretty sure besides windows live, not much will change. It's true ms bought several game devs and most of them are gone now, but they invested $2.5 billion. I don't think they'll ruin their new biggest franchise. Mojang will still be in charge of everything and probably stay a little studio.

Sir this is Microsoft, as you see on name there is no letters such as "E,A"
Stay calm, they dont wanna screw that up ot that would be biggest fail on gaming history about "Ruining the most selling game ever"
Also i don't think they will close their money source from Playstations

1. Check your spelling.
2. None of those rumors are even close to true. What credible source would tell you that?
3. Minecraft won't change dramatically if Microsoft buys it.
4. Pop reel with only 2 diamonds, lol.

First off, this doesn't really convey the truth. Microsoft bought MOJANG, not MINECRAFT. Mojang is still in charge of Minecraft. Secondly, Microsoft doesn't have the rights to start a monthly fee without Mojang's permission, and Mojang vowed to make Minecraft a one-payment deal forever. Also, since Mojang still owns Minecraft, mods are still available as the user pleases. Blogs like this merely spread panic among the more ignorant Minecrafters who don't do research into these matters.
