Hello Boys and Girls! Today we'll be learning how to add some necessary mods for minecraft. NOTE: This is not for experienced modders, but for people who have no idea how to mod. This is completely written, so if you like pictures, sorry. Before you start remember to BACK UP YOUR STUFF!!!!
NOTE: PLEASE check out the stuff at the bottom! If you read far enough I have details on a contest whose prize is me making a bunch of skins for the winner! OF THEIR CHOICE!!!!
Unit One: ModLoader:
Lesson One: Ready-ing minecraft for mods.
Step One: Turn on your computer (duh.).
Step Two: Open a Finder window.
Step Three: Open the library folder. NOTE: Strangely enough, on a lion mac you have to search it in the "All My Files" and click it fast because it likes to disappear. I've seen it on several macs.
Step Four: Open the Application Support folder in the Library folder.
Step Five: Open the minecraft folder in the Application Support folder.
Step Six (*sigh*): Open the bin folder in the minecraft folder.
Step Seven: Add the extension .zip to the minecraft.jar applet. It'll ask if you want to add the extension. Click "use .zip."
Step Eight: Decompress minecraft.jar.zip. A folder called minecraft.jar should come out. Stay in the bin folder in the minecraft folder. Now your ready to mod minecraft.
Lesson Two: Installing ModLoader into minecraft.
Step One: Go to this link: www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-v11-risugamis-mods-everything-updated/
Step Two: Scroll down until you find a section that says "The Mods" and directly under that, ModLoader 1.1.
Step Three: Click where it says "Download (Direct)" A download should start.
Step Four: After it's downloaded open the ModLoader folder in your downloads and move the .class files from the ModLoader into the minecraft.jar folder mentioned previously.
Step Five: Your now have ModLoader. Copy a the ModLoader-ed minecraft.jar folder just in case. Congrats. ;)
Lesson Three: Installing TooMany Items into Minecraft with ModLoader.
Step One: Go to this link: www.minecraftdl.com/too-many-items-mod/
Step Two: WARNING: This page will probably have a green ad that says "download!" Don't click that unless you want a virus! Instead, scroll down until you find a this: Download Too Many Items Mod for Minecraft 1.1
Step Three: Click that.
Step Four: WARNING: This will take you to adfly; don't click anything that says download or any type of ad but wait until a yellow sign that says SKIP AD at the right side of the screen appears and click that. Then, you'll get the TooManyItems folder download.
Step Five: Drag the files in the TooManyItems folder into the ModLoader-ed minecraft.jar folder and you'll be ready to go!
Thank you for reading this! I hope you have fun with that mod. Comment if you want more tutorials and what tutorial you want. From your friend, BEAST STEVE!!!!! More tutorials SOON.
