So I started playing on the latest snapshot by mojang. It has some pretty damn cool things that will make minecraft so much better. In my opinion its the best update yet.
Its got trip wires. These will make pvp servers even more epic and will be great for mob detectors that maybe set off an alarm that warns you when a mob has entered your base. It is basically a new type of pressure plate that sets off when people cross the wire.
It has emeralds. The new emerald ores look amazing and very different to other ores and the emerald blocks look great. I can see them taking over diamonds and being the most coveted item in the game.
Then there is the new buildings that spawn. There are pyramids that when you go inside nothing happens. Kinda like an NPC village just in the desert and more interesting to be inside.
There is a new inventory that has tabs depending on what type of item you are looking for. It also has a tab to how you your survival inventory so you can equip items from creative to survival.
There are new options to edit text.
There are new options to change how the world is spawned. You can now make large biomes and other strange tabs.
The brown bean things (forgot what they are called) grow on trees in the jungles. So now you can obtain them easily.
Then there is the new books. This is my favorite part of the snapshot. It adds books that you can write your own story in. You could maybe keep a diary of how your doing in your minecraft world and record daily events. It opens up a whole new world for adventure maps. Instead o having to edit what a map looks like you can now just write it in a book. These books could give you the tasks or hints as to what you are going to do.
It also adds single player/ multiplayer combining thingy but I didn't get a chance to test that out.
In conclusion the snapshot is amazing. The best one yet. It will open up new doors to things that couldn't have been done before.
