Hey guys, Proof here! I've decided to start a series about the creation of the Minecraft universe and how everything came to be the way it is in the game today. I don't know how many chapters will be in this story; I'm just going to start writing, and see where it takes me. If you have any suggestions/feedback, feel free to leave a comment! Anywhoo, that's all I can think of to say for an introduction, so I'll go ahead and start writing. Enjoy!!!

You may find it strange and ironic that our story begins with the tale of the creation of The End Dimension. Indeed, the name of this plane of existence is rather ironic, as the end was the first world to ever exist. In the beginning, there was nothing but the Void. No life, no energy, no matter; only empty space. But one day, all that changed. No one knows exactly how, or why, or when it happened. All we know is that there was a divine being, and he was called Notch. This deity took it upon himself to create matter to fill the lonely Void. He created an island, floating in space, made of a soft beige-green stone. He then made giant columns on this floating world. These enormous pillars were comprised of a very durable, black mineral. It was then that the great Notch took the jewels from his divine crown and placed one of them on each pillar. He then decided that a mighty beast was needed to protect his precious gems. So he took some of the fabric of space itself and molded it into a great dragon. Notch then spoke to the creature:

"Oh dragon, I have created thee to watch over this world I have made to store my great jewels. Do you agree to this responsibility?"

The dragon sat in thought for many moments. He did not want to serve this omnipotent being. Oh no, the reptilian beast wanted to be the supreme ruler of the universe. He wanted to destroy Notch and take his throne. But the monster was cunning. He replied:

"Gracious master, you have given me the gift of life. It shall be my great pleasure to guard your priceless possessions. But this is a task I do not wish to undertake alone. My divine friend, I ask that you grant me an army."

Notch could see no reason to deny the dragon this request. So he again took the fabric of space in his hands and created a rather strange being. This humanoid figure had skin just as black as the Ender Dragon's, and eyes just as purple. It was tall, by the standards of men, and very slender. Notch bestowed the power of teleportation on this creature. Satisfied with his work, the deity created many more of these Endermen. He then turned to the dragon and said:

"You have your army, dragon. Is this all you require?"

"Kind creator, I cannot rule this vast realm alone. I ask that you give me a queen."

Again, Notch saw no problem with this. So he created another dragon, and wed it to the first. Then the dragon king was content, so Notch left the realm and transcended back into the Void. The two dragons spent many centuries preparing for a war to overthrow the divine being. They experimented with the crystals that they were assigned to guard, which were powerful artifacts. After nearly a millenium had passed, the beasts were ready. They gathered their army and called Notch back the End.

"Ancient guardian, for what purpose have you summoned me? Are my jewels in peril?"

"You foolish soul! The only thing in peril is you!"

The dragons and Endermen attacked Notch viciously. The crystals had given them much power. Even so, the deity could not be defeated. After a battle lasting almost 3,000 years, the divine creator prevailed. He prepared to slay the dragon king.

"Go ahead, kill me! I do not fear death!!"

Notch paused for a moment.

"Indeed, you are right. Death is no punishment to you, who was born of the Void itself. The loss of your life is insignificant to you. But the life of your queen…"

Then the divine being destroyed the second dragon, leaving behind nothing but a small black egg. The Ender Dragon's shrieks of grief could be heard throughout the Void. To this day, he keeps the egg on his person at all times, serving as a constant reminder of his lost partner.

Well that's it for Chapter 1, guys! Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed. Leave a diamond if you liked, a favorite if you loved, and a subscribe if you want some more!
