Hello Planetminecrafters!
I was inspired by tp124391's blog about 10 types of people you will meet on Minecraft servers. As a big fan of the Hunger Games, his blog inspired me to make this blog! This blog is based on any Hunger/Survival Games servers - kits or no kits. This blog is basically about the types of Tributes you will most likely meet on Minecraft Hunger/Survival Games servers. I've met some of these people and I have played some of these people.
The Survivalist
The Survivalist is the one who is always caring for themselves and their partners. They are always on the lookout for food and safe shelter for the night. These Tributes prepare for the worst conditions during the Games. You can be sure that these people are always alert and ready to react to any situation. They do what they need to survive.
The Runner
The runner is the master escape artist through their swift feet. They will sprint and run as if their real life depended on it. At the beginning of the games, they will do one of two things.
1. Rush for the Cornucopia, grab what they can and rush out of there!
2. Rush for any hidden chests or a good hiding place in the map.
When confronted by another Tribute, the Runner usually dashes off in a random direction in hopes of losing their pursuer.
The Tank
The Tank is usually the Tribute with the largest ego and o strength.o (Though I dono t know how you would measure strength in Minecraft). These Tributes are usually fearless and will go searching for armor to wear. If they do find armor, then they will be harder to kill than most Tributes. I recommend using brains over brawn if youo re ever in this situation. In a team, the Tank is essential to soaking up damage while other teammates finish off the Tributes.
Katniss Everdeen
I named these kinds of Tributes after our hero in the Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen. Katniss Everdeen Tributes are the kind of people who can actually use a bow. They can shoot mobs and players with scary precision. However, these Tributes are always caring for others in the games (Just like Katnisso caring devotion towards Peeta). These Tributes win the Hunger Games with miraculous success. What I mean is, the odds are not in their favour and they still are able to win. Their perseverance is the key to their success.
Peeta Mellark
You might be wondering why I chose to name these Tributes after Peeta Mellark. I did so because there are Tributes who are always looking out for others (especially in a team). They put themselves in harmo s way to save their friend and ally. In doing so, they usually lose quite a bit of hearts (if they dono t end up dying). Their instinct is what makes them unique to the Games.
The Lagger
Not all internet connections are flawless. There is quite the group of Tributes who lag in the Hunger Games. They usually end up dying in the beginning. Otherwise, they end up killing quite a bit of players because of their horrible connection. Basically what happens is they o teleporto around the Tribute because of their poor internet connection. It sends the data to the server slower than it does for others. In game, it looks like they freeze, teleport around the player and deal damage.
The Negotiator
This Tribute tries to avoid combat for the most part. They try to talk with other Tributes and make a team or a truce. They survive through the dependence of others in their alliance. One must be careful though, a negotiator is not always truthful.
The Betrayer
The Betrayer is the hardest Tribute to identify. At a first encounter, they may seem nice, helpful and resourceful. However, if at any point, they feel that they have an advantage over you, they will most definitely strike. Always be on guard!
The Camper
The Camper likes to sit at one or a few hiding/scouting spots during most of the Hunger Games. They usually have a bow and try shooting other Tributes from afar. They are isolated people that just sit and wait for the action to come to them.
The Lost One
This Tribute is very self-Explanatory. The Lost Tributes tend to forget their location in the map relative to the Cornucopia. They waste a lot of time running around in circles in search for any landmarks.
The Cheater
Of course, the Cheater cheats. Unfortunately, these people are quite common and they ruin the Hunger Games experience for the Tributes. They usually let their opponents live. These Cheaters either ask friends for in-game intelligence or they cheat by using features on hacked clients.
The Teamers
The Teamer Tributes are those who ALWAYS try to find a team. Whether it is in the lobby or in the middle of the Hunger Games, they constantly depend on other people to do harder tasks for them and to help keep them alive. These people kind of spam the chat with words like, o IF YOU WANNA TEAM TYPE MY NAME/ADD ON SKYPE!o The funniest part is when they rage o it is usually because their teammates killed them for their stuff.
The Chest Looter
The Chest Looter pretty much knows where every chest is and how often they spawn. Due to their high chest knowledge, they usually have a lot of loot. When you kill one of these Tributes, they will literally explode with items! It is always funny when you kill a hoarder. If you end up teaming with this kind of Tribute, chances are that they areno t sharing everything with you. Just beware of a possible diamond sword in their possession.
The Wolf Tamer
The Wolf Tamer is a very basic kind of Minecraft Hunger Games Tribute. These people do their best to find bones through chests or skeletons at night. They use the bones to tame as many wolves as they can. Maybe it is because they like the dogs or they like the protection they offer. Having a lot of dogs is similar to having your own little army fighting for you. It is much safer to shoot these guys down due to their high canine meter.
