So I've been thinking recently there is so much to do in minecraft, but usually after you have killed the enderdragon you have done most of these things and you start wondering what do do next?
Well, what if you could create your own mobs for you to fight, tame and generally run from. You could create things like a spider creeper (body and climbing of a spider, explosives of a creeper), an Ender-slime ( a bouncing ender shaped slime) or upgrade existing mobs (snowgolems that shoot arrows).
And also, what if you could create a whole new block type? You could create redstone activated sand, or a block that turns transparent with a redstone current. You could create a block that crumbles after a certain time using physics and redstone.
Of course, there must be some sense to this. So I was thinking that it should have some kind of limiting factor experience(like one of the comments suggested) or using a rare item (emeralds and diamonds)
Block Editor
To make this a fair mod, the ability to create mobs and blocks, must not be easy to do.
Maybe something involving Endstone, netherbrick, stonebrick and diamond blocks could be used.
First you make the Block Former :
and then you left click it with this:
to bring up the block editing GUI
As you can see from the first concept the block's code is its' standard ID and a simple binary-esque code
In this example it goes 1064010. This shows that:
Physics in on(1st digit)
Transparency is off (2nd digit)
It is stackable to 64 (3rd and 4th digits),
It's not slippy (5th digit) Tthe physics is redstone activated (6th digit)
If there was transparency it would not be redstone activated (7th digit)
Note that if the physics is off it can't be redstone activated and if transparency is off then it can't be redstone
activated either.
Another aspect of this mod is to have a Mob Editor
Mob Editor
Again this must be fairly expensive to compensate for its' power
The first thing to craft to be able to use this aspect is the Creation Table:
After, you left click it to bring up a GUI which takes in mob drops from you inventory and displays which mobs you are able to make. From here you then combine them to make a different mob. The easiest way to make a mob is to have the mob head item and a drop (e.g creeper skull and TNT) or a far more expensive method is to use the drops.( spider eyes + TNT = creeper + spider mob)
Here's a concept idea:
These things could be used to really enhance custom maps. You could make boss mobs and area specific mobs.
Say you have a journey into the nether and you have to fight a creature that is controlling the nether. It could be a giant zombie pigman that can shoot fire charges.
I would really appreciate it if could diamond this post just to show your appreciation. One click goes a long way. Thanks for reading this.

Textures used in the concept is Sphax's own texture and have been put together to for the image. I do not own them, I have not changed them and nor do I wish to use this for a commercial use. The license can be found here
