IntroRecently Minecraft was released on the X-Box 360. On the first few hours of release, it got over 12,000 purchases. Although Minecraft on Xbox may be really fun and cool, they are many flaws to the game aswell. The game costs 1600 microsoft points. Is it worth it?
Bad Things
On the Xbox, the worlds are limited, meaning you can only have a world that is about 12 minuets across both ways. It is also based off of an earlier version, perhaps 1.7.3, simply because there is no sprinting mechinisim, no Endermen, no Abbandond Mineshafts, and no StrongHolds. Chests no longer have the great animation, and you wont be able to get Mods or Texture Packs on it.
Good Things
Enough with the bad things about it, on Xbox the crafting mechinisim is alot easier than before, all you need is the materials and your controller! You no longer need to painfully drag your items to craft them, you simply select the item or block you want to make, and press the A button on it! Simple, right! You also no longer need shears to get wool from sheep, you just hit them and all their wool pops off! There is no longer a Multiplayer mode, you simply invite your friends to your game and you can play together! Oh yeah and did I mention multi-colour sheep are still in the game?
Overall
Overall, yes it is worth every penny! It is so fun to play with your friends and build huge fortresses and small dirt houses! Hell, its even fun getting blown up by a creeper! So go out today, buy some microsoft points if you already havent and get Minecraft on your Xbox today!
