Minecraft's 1.18 snapshot lets players experience experimental world generation, resulting in one player finding an insane and massive cave.

Minecraft's newest update adds a few new features and fixes several bugs, but it also came side by side with a snapshot of version 1.18. Expected to release by the end of the year, this is the second part of the Caves and Cliffs update and will drastically overhaul how the game generates not just the titular caves and cliffs, but the entire world around the player. The snapshot is an optional update players can use to get a glimpse of what 1.18 might be like, although it is still experimental and may not be completely bug free. One player using this snapshot happened across an incredibly massive cave system exposed to the sky.
