In the end, skis where not added to minecraft :( They could have been like horses.
Hello Everyone, I am pretty excited now! Tehehehe! I was upset at first from the 1.4.6 update, because they did not change as much as i would have liked or hoped. Although they did make a few minor improvements and add fireworks,which made me happy because they where one of the reasons Notch originally had the idea to create the game are pretty shitting awesome to launch in the sky. But because of the small update i guess that is why the update is 1.4.6 1.5. BUT,Spoiler
I was searching through minecraft.jar and i found in the items folder, a png file named Skis :D you can see what the texture looks like in the image above OoooOOOOoooOOOOoo AND i also found another PNG file named xmaschest and xmaschest large which sounds like they will also be released >:) I posted those files in the images above as well. Unfortunatly i am not sure if the present chest update is permanent or not or if its just going to be their for xmas day.... So the myths are true of the skis! What i am wondering is if their will be a second minecraft update realsing the properties and the animations of the skis or if it is already their but just not showing itself to us yet... i am going to go with the first possibility but the second one is still likely.
