So my last theory consisted of the Nether, and in it I explained all the mobs that come from the Nether. Almost.
The Wither has been in Minecraft for a while now, and I think I should post my opinion about it. We all know from my last theory, that the Nether is a future version of the Overworld. All of the blocks and mobs can be explained through that theory, but I left out the Wither, for another time. Now, I'm going to explore the Wither, and find out what it really is. So grab a soda, some popcorn, I don't know, a freaking ice cream cone, and lets go back to the future, to study the Wither (Get it? Cuz it's a future version of the Overworld? :3)
So lets look at the things it takes to create the Wither. 4 soul sand blocks, and three skulls. It's safe to assume that the skulls are just masks, which have not much of a purpose. What's really interesting though, is the soul sand.
I personally believe that soul sand actually consists of dead souls of players that died. This is true, for a number of reasons. First, the name is soul sand. Enough said. Also, it explains why soul sand makes you slower when you walk on it. The souls try to pull you, for you to get them into their bodies again. We can also see faces of horror n the sand, so we know that 1. They're souls, and 2. They're desperate for help.
When you summon the Wither, notice the placement of soul sand. One on each side, and two in the middle. I personally believe that the souls travel upward, because they think the mask is a new body. This explains why the middle head is bigger than the other two.
Lets look at the Wither itself. The Wither attacks any mob, not just the player. Why is this? Well, keep in mind that 12 souls are inhabiting the Wither. It'd be like a Steven Universe fusion, with 12 random people. If you watch Steven Universe, and you saw Alexandrite, then you would've noticed that 4 gems that have been together for a long time, could hardly stand being fused. The Wither is confused, and is lost and afraid.
Lets also look at the slightly less important part, the Wither effect. It's safe to say that this is from the skulls, because for one, the same affect is from Wither Skeletons, which in my last theory, I said that they had debris all over them. So that explains the Wither effect.
What about the Nether Star? This is a big mystery in Minecraft. We definitely know it's not a star, because of it's size, but it has properties of a star. More importantly, why does the Wither drop this upon death? A theory I have is that it symbolized hope, which is something that is rare in the Nether, because if a sun and moon crashed in your world, you'd be screwed.
In conclusion everyone, the Wither is the lost souls of players. Keep that in mind next time you want a beacon.
Anyways, that's it for, thanks for reading, AND HAVE A GOOD ONE!
