This blog is about Minecraft YouTube Commentary people!
Many people have YouTube channels and record Minecraft! Which is great!
But, not everyone has entertaining content, interesting commentary, and unique videos, so it is hard to get "big/popular" in the Minecraft YouTube commentary Community!
Many people want to become like the big YouTubers, like the Mindcrack community, having over a million subscribers and other popular Modded YouTubers and redstoners alike!
So you may ask, How do I get the popular, better, at making youtube videos so it can become a fulltime job??
Well, first off, those YouTubers have been doing this for years, probably watching other Minecraft YouTubers for inspiration and trying it themselves, learning from their mistakes, analyzing the likes, views on videos and seeing what people enjoy watching and doing that the most. It is a long process to make it that far, and have over 100,000 people watch your videos every day. But once you get there, you still have to make good content and keep people subscribed!
So, are you up to the task, to spend many hours each day editing, rendering and playing Minecraft even though you probably have a school or a job to attend to?
Yes it can be fun, but a lot of hard work to do this YouTube commentary and even stressfull at times if you need to make ends meet.
So you are a complete beginner and want to get better? I will do my best to give you some pointers over the year or of experience I have. (Disclaimer, by no means doing the tips I say below will garuntee that your channel will grow! just a few suggestions!)
First, if your playing Vanilla Minecraft and doing a series on it, make sure to have your own objectives or challenges for it because thousands of others have done MC let's plays and beat the game, so make it interesting, like no farming for food, being nomadic, have to use redstone for every build etc. Make it entertaining so people want to keep watching your content!
Second, Commentary counts! If you just say, "I am chopping wood, I am placing planks, I am making a piston..." people won't be entertained and will most likely choose a different video from yours! Be excited, like you are having fun and then people will have fun as well! (have your own style of commentary!)
Third, Put some time into editing the video, if that means doing stuff off camera, parts where you say um or uh a lot, parts that are boring like branch mining, unless you can make it exciting i recommend editing those out! Have some fancy music at times (Non copyright of course) or a cool intro/outro, (Not needed) or even just some neat transition effects (but don't go overboard!)
Fourth, If you have all the time in the world and want to go all out, make a good thumbnail saying the Video episode, and the name of the series on it, (for examples check out Vintage Beef's thumbnails) then people won't have to look at the title to figure out which episode they should watch next!
Finally, you should have a decent mic and no background noise! This makes the whole video, I recommend a Blue Snowball iCE, they can be around $70 for a professional sounding mic, other cheaper but not as good quality alternatives are headset mics. Also make sure you have good video recording software!
These are just a few tips on how to become better at Minecraft YouTube Commentary!
Just keep trying and don't give up! Take risks, be unique, have fun and be yourself!
Eventually people will start watching your videos and spread the word!
