o Got to dig, got to mine, got to dig, and got to mine.o This is what every player thinks whenever they start or join a SMP map. Of course you can be given materials to start out with to help you begin (Honestly though, you want to do it by yourself, you know you do), but once from there everything you do, find, and build is all on you. The satisfaction that you get whenever you find your first diamond or complete your first build on the world is

However, this feeling can easily be taken away by some factors. Throughout the world of Minecraft, two of the biggest worries in the game are:

Every item you have ever gotten and put into a chest is in danger with these two around. Creepers when close enough explode and scatter your items all over the room. All the items that were placed so neatly and nice inside the chest have been thrown across the room and out of order. Causing you to collect and reorganize all the items back into the chests the way you originally had them. The same goes for Griefers too. Griefers are known for disrupting your game play and making just about anybody on the map angry and annoyed. The range goes from as complex as making a trap to kill someone to as simple as just stealing all the items out of their chests. All the iron ingot, gold ingots, emeralds, diamonds, either hidden and moved or just destroyed.

It is time to pimp out the current chests in the game. How are we going to do that you ask? Well it is quite simple my good friend, we are going to make the chests

INDESTRUCTIBLE!

Thato s right we are going to make an Obsidian chest. Obsidian is impervious to not only TNT, but Creepers and Griefers too. Obsidian chests cannot be blown up, saving all of your items inside. Also the chest would only be able to be picked up by using a diamond pickax, saving the hassle of accidently destroying your chests while working around them.

Obsidian chests are very simple to make. If you have ever played Minecraft before you basically know how to design a normal chest. The only difference is that it in the place of wood you would put Obsidian. That is your only difference, pretty easy to get right?! I thought so, lol.

Besides Creepers and TNT this still doesn't solve the problem of a Griefer coming into your build and stealing all of the items inside of your chests. What can we possibly do to stop that?

Well fear no more because I have the solution to that question as well. We have all seen the buildings using Redstone to make a bank vault, well why not just add that aspect to the chest itself. You know what Io m talking about! You got it, a chest with a lock. This will be able to stop the Griefers or anyone from stealing your precious diamonds.

The very first time the chest is opened you will be asked to set a 4 digit code using a 9 button keypad. The code will from there on be used to open the chest. To reset the combination you must first enter in the correct code. Once inside the chest there will be a tab that will have to option to reset. It will look like something similar to below.
