I was thinking it would fun if there was a mod that added horses, spears/lances and different kinds of shields you could craft that could do different things. Each shield providing different amounts of defense and different durabilities. First there would be the normal shields; leather, wood, iron, gold and diamond but then obsidian. Then there are the special shields that aren't as durable and have less defense points but have actual effects to help you. Cactus shields that hurt monsters when they hit them, ice shields so cold that they give the monsters slowness upon hitting them, ender shields made from ender pearls sending monsters flying back, slime shields that if a monster holding an item hits it, the monster has a 20% to drop the item because it was stuck to the shield, fire charge shields having a 20% to burn the monster, and rusty shields made from an iron shield put into crafting with a water bucket giving a 20% for the monster to get poisoned. It would also be fun if the leather shields could be dyed. There would be 2 ways to craft shields; rounded shields and full body shields. Rounded shields use four sticks and only one of the main ingredient (leather, iron, gold, diamonds etc...) these are less costly but, are less durable and less defensive. The full body shields use three sticks going straight down the sides and three of the main material going straight down the middle. These are more protective and durable. You can hold a shield and another weapon out at the same time. That is it for the shields really. Spears would use the basic materials; wood, stone, iron, gold, diamonds etc... They would be crafted with a stick in the bottom left corner, one in the very middle and the main material in the top right corner. These allow you to hit from further away. Finally horses you just put a saddle on and then ride.
