Hello. This is MineCat212. Today I would like to teach you about moving into a village. Maybe you want to move into one because you don't have the skills or efforts to construct your own house, or maybe you like trading socializing with fellow villagers. So now let me tell you why I live in a village. I always thought NPC villages were pretty awesome. I tried many seeds, but I still couldn't find a village. So the last seed I researched was called droughtnought. And just in case it didn't work, I discovered and selected the Super-Flat world setting. So I quickly generated the world. And after some quick flying low in the air, I soon heard the sound of blabbering villagers and I could see small brown dots moving along the ground. I dropped to the ground to get a closer look. And then in my view was a large village. Farmers harvested their crops and librarians peeked out their window panes to get a good view of me. I guess they weren't used to flying people without bulbous shnozs. So then I moved into a house. I spawned a donkey named Balaam, whom I owned in my old world. So after taming and saddling, I rode out the fence. But there was one problem: slimes were everywhere, which I did not notice when I first arrived to the village! So I couldn't ride Balaam without green cubes jumping at me from all sides. So now I will give you tips on moving into a village.

If you are in a default world when you move into a village, then read this paragraph. This is different than the next paragraph because the next one is for those with Super-Flat worlds. Anyway, first start off by choosing a house or a shelter. (You can also move into a church, library, or butcher's market.) If you don't have much and you choose to be independent, choose a buthcer's market or a library. Butcher's markets and libraries are not good if you have pets, because they will take up too much space and your pets need room to be happy. (Unless you have wolves or ocelots.) If you have large pets, then move into a church. Or do the same if you have many pets, no matter the size. (I have a donkey, pig, wolf, and ocelot.) Also people with big pets or many pets could take one of the small houses with the fenced in backyard.

If you plan to move into a village in a Super-Flat world, then read this paragraph. No matter the size of the village or if you have any pets at all, I recommend that you do the following: fence in your entire village. It took me sixteen minutes, but it is worth it. Your pets won't be able to get out of the whole village, and they can explore all of the houses instead of your own. And it keeps the slimes and other creatures out. You may of fenced in some monsters, but make some iron golems to get rid of pest problems. And no matter how large or small your village is, make sure that all of the shelters have closed doors. Because if you want to lure your animal's inside, you don't want to search every nook and cranny, and that includes every shelter in your possibly large neighborhood!
