When someone on the Internet made a new Minecraft launcher, my brother decided to check it out. He downloaded it, and unknown to him, had a virus on it. The newly downloaded virus spread havoc throughout the computer. The entire harddrive was wiped clean, and the computer had shut down. My brother tried to turn it back on, and the BIOS screen had told him that the computer had not shut down correctly. I thought to install Ubuntu, so I downloaded the image and burnt it. When I tried to install Ubuntu, it came out with an error. All I had left was my mothero s computer, and an extremely outdated Macintosh. About 9 months later, my grandmother had gotten us a new computer. I had realized this new opportunity, and downloaded the image again. When I tried to burn it though, there was an error (0x80004005). After running about 3 troubleshooters, scouring the internet, and messing up another disk, I had found the correct troubleshooter and the burn was successful.
**EDIT**
4 months later the harddrive finally failed on the old thing. But it was okay, because a friend had sent me 2 more old ones, on which I installed Ubuntu on and it was really slow. Then I heard about Lubuntu and installed that and that is what I have been using for 2 days now.
