Hey PMC users, a lot of people have asked me how I get quite a bit of people on my server. Today I am going to explain it to you.

So where do you start? The first best idea is to post your server on sites like planetminecraft and other sites like it, those sites have TONS of traffic everyday and if you keep bumping your server you will likely get players! The next thing you will need is a good spawn, your spawn is the first thing a new player sees when they join, that is what they will most likely judge you apon, but next to that you will need social fun staff, no one likes really strict abusive staff, so I would recommend getting staff that knows what they are doing because that is also what a new player will judge you apon. Another important thing is not to have a million plugins. Having too many plugins ruins all the players experience and they will get bored quickly. Don't smother players with items! If you smother them with stuff they will be happy at first but they will get bored later on. Another VERY important thing is to listen to the players, on my server I take all suggestions from the players and some are actually pretty good. The last thing that is also important is to have a website. Having a website keeps your server organized, and having a forums for players to post hackers and other things makes players happy.

I am going to be re-writing this soon! This is just my rough draft! Subscribe and diamond!

I find this not so useful. Not because your server is unpopulated and empty, but because server players come from the first player online, the staff, and yourself. Also not so strict rules that make it you can't do anything without being banned. Let me explain with the first player.

The first player(s) online will be like a judge in a fashion show. They are not looking for the epic builds to the server, they are looking at how good you and your staff team and your rules are. If you guys are abusive, and your rules are too strict, they will tell you, and anyone looking at the comments to see how good the server is. Now, there's people who like scrict rules to give them a challenge, but there are people who hate strict rules and think its a bit too supreme.

You may think that deleting every comment explaining the good and bad things in the comments will help you get more players, but it won't. As more judges come in, you'll have to give up deleting their comments.

Dear CubeRoot and Medievalheroes,

After saying what I said I am now turning to you even if you won't read this.
CubeRoot,
He CAN do it himself. This is his opinion on how to get players. Don't disrespect that. And as far as you know, someone actually did. They didn't need to do it through the server, they PMed him. This I know for a fact. Also, there could be at least one player on his server, but they were offline when you were online. Don't judge a book by its cover.

medievalheroes,
That would kinda be considered hate...
Again, for all you both know one player plays it but you guys didn't see them cause...oh..They were offline. Just because you both are online doesn't mean everyone is online. And this is a good beginner's guide, so people would listen to this. Just cause tons haven't today doesn't mean they won't later. (Not to be rude to both of you. :) )

Have a nice day.

Sorry if it sounded a bit rude, I'm pretty much always irritated and I try to not make my comments sound rude but usually I fail. >.>

No one has asked you how you got players on your server; there are none. I just looked. Please, don't give advice for things you can't/haven't done yourself.

^Me when I saw, "Please, don't give advice for things you can't/didn't do yourself." Wow...Blogism..Anyone can give advice even if they haven't done it themselves. Anyone could do this, server or not. For example, they might know what to look for that makes a good server, so they could make advice on how to make a good server, and how to make it plain horrible. They don't need a server, or people on their server. .-.
