Harro guyz is moi Xaftos again! :3 Today, I'm going to be telling you about my Minecraft story, of which I haven't told anyone about before. You guys will be the first to hear about it! Lucky you! Most of you might not care, but it's a fun little read about my experiences and how Minecraft has changed my life and all, haha. Let's get into it:
I was a little Minecraft nublet. I was in the phase of when I didn't know how to change my brightness and settings and such, scared to death of mobs and caves, and going on every server possible. I had started playing on a couple of servers (one of which I had found my first diamonds on! [not legit, they were creative diamonds :3]), until I was searching on YouTube and found out about this thing called "griefing". Oh boy did this look like fun.
I found a COMPLETELY unprotected creative build server, and I started recording, hoping it would go viral (I didn't know, I was a nub). I posted the video, and about a day after I got a PM from a guy named something like McBans somesortanameidontremember. He was telling me off saying I would get a global ban if I continued to do this, and god that scared me so bad. As a nublet, I decided "Well, if I don't record, he won't know nuttin" which is exactly what happened, nothing. I came across this server on YouTube called "JabCraft". It was owned by a 13 year old money hungry little kid that had nothing better to do with his life (I realized this AFTER I left the server). Apparently, at one time the server was owned by Syndicate (which I still don't believe). I'm going to jump ahead real quick into where everything started going uphill for me.
I spent a total of $220 dollars on that server.
OhmygoodjesusIkindaregretdoingthat. But you know, at the same time, I kind of don't. With all the ranks and rewards and stuff from that, I became noticed on the server. Tons of new people became friends with me, whom of which I thought I would never be friends with as a $0 donated noob. I have met a very select handful of people that have changed me. People such as manco89, dwat13, OneManMiner, lindachen1999, Karizma_, Wtfudges, and many others in which I'll put in the "Additional Credit" section. These people gave me the chance to express myself publicly. Without them, I wouldn't be talking to you right now. Some of my best friends were made by that server. That server bonded me with so many beautiful people, that it almost makes me cry looking back on it.
Linda and I were very close together. She was the nicest person I had ever come to meet. We built a large city that we called Paradise, after the Coldplay song. The city was magnificent. I would show you photos, yet my computer had to be wiped due to a faulty harddrive. Manco89 started a server called iColony (still running btw), and Linda, dwat, onemanminer, and myself were all there to be the first building blocks for the server. It was all going frigging swell, until I heard the news. Bad news. After a few months, Linda had died in a car accident. I no longer had the photos of the city, since my computer was wiped. I became depressed for about a week or so after I was told, and we had built a memorial for her on the server. I would stand by that memorial every so often, thinking back on the good times Linda and I had together. Every time I hear the song "Paradise", I cry like a mofo.
Sorry, just got deep.
The server now has much more staff and members in general, and is very successful. Very friendly people, good atmosphere, and just a comforting place to be. I'm glad to have so many people like them in my life, because they have changed it for the most. Some of them will be reading this, and some may reply in the comments. These people aren't just friends, they are mentors. All of them. In some way, shape, or form, they have taught me something I wouldn't get out of anybody else, and has changed the way I view things in the every day world. If you have been apart of my life, you know who you are, and I would like to say thank you. This isn't one of those BS little "thank you"s, this is one of the thank yous in which I put the upmost respect onto.
This is where I don't know how to end the blog, because I'm not good at endings. You get my point.
