Disclaimer: Yes this is inspired and made as a opposing opinion to that blog, if your wondering. I regret nothing. *makes serious face*

Sometimes. Just sometimes. I let my opinions get the best of me, and when they do... I write blogs. This, is no different. This is not to bash or give a bad name to the other blog writer, but to state my opinion on the matter of it. No, I am not being paranoid, or taking this too far as I know that it's un-likely that blogs will be removed, this is just like every other blog, to state my opinion, except this time, it is indeed based against a direct opinion, but is that really much different from any other blog? hmhm ^-^"

As you may know, there is a blog on how blogs should be removed, and that topic is, and probably has been, controversial, as I can tell by the comments.

Being a blogger myself, of course I'm on the side of keeping blogs, for both personal opinion and preference, and reason.

Now, I'm going to show you 2 different comments, one I posted before reading all the way through, and another I posted after reading the blog all the way through. Escuse me if I sounded rude or harsh, but I honestly couldn't of been more frustrated.

Comment 1 : "Your being selfish and inconsiderate, I can see it in your words. Your half minded and stubborn on your biased point of view without even thinking about the other half of the story. I find it extremely insulting how you mindlessly believe that blogging, something done long before minecraft, something that people can actually be paid for, requires absolutely no talent, skill, and time? I understand you wanting some more skill-less points removed, but if you look at it that way, why target only blogging? Your precious skinning, texturepacks, and projects have just as many useless entries as the blogs and maybe more! So what if they aren't all minecraft related, blogging has been here for ages, removing it now is nothing but foolish."

Comment 2 :
I honestly could care less. xD

"I honestly could care less. xD

I love to blog, so now I have a minecraft community where I can blog and talk about anything I want, There is a large difference between a simple question on a forum post and a uplifting article on bullying and changing the world *looks up into the sky with one fist in the air*

*coughs* anyways, sure this is a minecraft site, but I like it this way.... I really do. So what if it isn't about minecraft, why does that have to matter? Why does everything have to be about "Omgz epic gaming I did something boring in minecraft" When we can write about stuff people actually care about."

Now guess which one I WANTED to say, after I read all of the blog.... comment 1. For the first time in a long time did I actually get more angry at someone after reading everything more carefully.

Now that you've seen my comments, you know the basics of this blog, so let's get started.

Blogs Aren't Minecraft Enough

No, most of the good ones aren't. Like always, blogs, or articles, are about controversial topics, important lessons, or heart warming, inspiring areas. Such as, stopping bullying, controlling tempers, or a more website orientated one like "How to become popular".

When making this blog, or any blog, it's important to see both sides of the opinion, and this area of the blog is the only thing I could find a understanding in. I understand that this is a Minecraft site, or, a gaming site overall, and why blogs may seem odd and out of place to someone.

In my opinion though, your looking at it wrong.

Think of it this way, many fansites I've been on allow personal blogs, if you haven't seen it, then your not looking hard enough. Places like Yogscast.com or another game all together like LBP fansites, often have blogs, and of course they aren't going to be about the game or fansite at all times, why would they? It's a personal blog. The only difference is because we give EXP. No, I don't believe EXP should be remove from blogs either, as I've said in my 1st comment, blogs like those that get popular or even, more popular then skins or projects, require skill, time, and effort! EXP is given merely as a example of how popular, entertaining, and well written your blog was, especially, since most popular blogs are written for the purpose of entertainment of others, which may be called "article" in the category section.

I believe some hatred of blogs like "How to get popular" and "bullying" is non-purposefully created from opinion and personal ideas of blogs all together.

Some Blogs Are Effortless and Pointless

Yes, that's true. In all honesty though, like I said before, why target just blogs? Remove the entire blog section for such a trivial reason? That's just foolish, rash, and redundant. If your the kind of person who believes now that ALL blogs are pointless and are only created to hoard diamonds for little effort, then you're dead wrong, i'm afraid. Do you know how long I've spent on this blog for only up to this point? At least 2 hours. Hows that for effort?

I have NEVER spent that much time on any skin I've ever made, even my most complicated take maybe 35 minutes at most. Bottom line is we will always have lower quality anything anywhere. When any creative site is created, that is something that has to be accepted, not everyone will put as much effort into anything they do.

Why Blogs Have Similar Topics

Now you simply must know the answer to this one, but I decided to make a seperate part for this instead of mixing it with the above, but it does have a simple answer.

Like anything else on the site, or on anything, or anywhere, people will make their own version of what they like. Just like teen skins, just like adventure maps, just like steampunk.

Notice how I slowly faded to simply.. genras? Where do you think genras came from silly. Popular ideas will be remade and remade again, thus is the create-o-sphere. (LBP reference...)

This is just something that will have to be accepted as well, besides, it's been happening for ages with many other things.

So, in conclusion, In my opinion, blogs... should stay.

Do you agree? I'm not afraid to start a argument, I've done it many times before, but I doubt anything you say I haven't already written down.

Blogs are a important part of the PMC community, and something I think will always be here, no matter what.

Thanks for viewing, I'll start making more skins now. Sorry for this little spout of blog ideas I've been having, everyone! So i'll see you next time, hopefully, in a better mood...

To me blogs are THE most creative thing on the site. I love how the blog area of the site allows people like you to write something inspiring . Plus, i can tell how much effort and care you put into your blog posts and that effort and care sends out a powerful message. Blogs are a wonderful thing in Pmc. Some people i guess just want to talk about minecraft all day and not even think about important issues. Blogs can be uplifting and inspiring and hopeful. Its a shame for someone to oppose that and say it takes no effort. Anyway well said as always Mymagic. :D
