Oi, everyone! It's me, Ocean, and I'm here with a new, more serious, Blog. Today, I address the YOGScast fanbase. Yes, the silly, sometimes mental YouTube gamer group that sparked my interest in Minecraft and many other games such as Fallout and Skyrim. But lately, I've noticed that the fanbase has deteriorated from an awesome group of individuals that were always excited for the newest video into a hateful, someone-took-a-pee-in-my-cereal-this-morning group of whiny little brats. Yeah, I said it. I would like to point out a few things about the fan-base as I see it, since I have become fed up with their crap. So, without further ado, let's begin.
The first thing I would like to speculate upon is the comments section on their videos. I scroll down and see people talking negatively about only two members of the team: Duncan and Kim. For those of you who don't know about this, people in the comments section have been attacking them ever since Kim teamed up with Duncan. Why, I have no clue, but for whatever reason, people seem to hate Kim for no other reason, except for the fact that she doesn't know much about modded or vanilla Minecraft. They've said in the comments section that she's rubbish and doesn't need to be in the team, all because she doesn't know how to play. Duncan, as well, is rather disliked for whatever reason. I mean, yes, he does lots of stuff with Kim, but that's because they're really close (I honestly ship them a lot, but that's just me). They have fun togther and they like doing hat they do. To me, that's all they care about, is having fun.
Here's my response to these: I highly doubt you knew how to play when you first started as well, so don't start with that "She's a n00b, so she automatically is a terrible team member" bullcrap. I don't think you just magically learned the controls when you started play the game, either, so just shut your mouths. You never knew how to install a modpack, as well, so don't tell me that "you got it on your first try". At least she tries to learn, people, and I think that's all that matters. I don't see people getting their panties in a twist about Simon's blunders, so why is Kim different? Why is it when she messes up, everyone gets angry and attacks her? Stop picking on her and Duncan. It's not cool, and I'm seriously ashamed to have the YOGScast community bashing on them.
The second issue I would like to talk about is how people freak out over how much Lewis and Simon cheat. Yes, they're lazy, but that doesn't mean that you need to chastise them with that fact. I know that they've even coined the term "The YOGScast Guarantee", essentially making light of it, but I find people in the comments of those videos take that joke way too seriously. They clearly dont grasp the concept that it's a joke, and become crazily angry at them for "breaking the guarantee". Listen, they do cheat sometimes. I'll even admit that I spazz a little when I see them cheating in adventure maps. However, I'm not going to report them to YouTube staff because they cheat, because sometimes map mechanics don't work as they're intended to. It's a joke people. You know, like that thing you ask your friends and then hit them with the punchline (no pun intended)? Yeah, that's what "The YOGScast Guarantee" is, people. I mean, you know the iconic "Diggy Diggy Hole" thing, right? That's a joke that's been around in the YOGScast community for as long as I can remember. I mean, heck, even "I'm Dave!Yognaut, and I have the balls!" is one of the funniest ones. But if you really think that they're making a trusting guarantee to not cheat, you clearly don't know the YOGScast. Clearly.
Again, these are my opinions, so don't start a flame-war over something I've said. If you don't like what I've said in this Blog, go ahead and leave, because no one told you that "you must read this Blog".
