Hello!
So, i've had quite a few messages saying that i should "branch out" and what not.
The thing is, i'm not keen on making monster skins, nor do i like to create any other
skins that aren't cute, colorful or anything like that. I'm sorry but that's just who i am.
I'm not doing this to hurt anyone, it's just the truth. I don't enjoy making skins that
aren't cute.
I feel like this is becoming a job. I'm not getting paid for this, i'm ONLY doing this
because I enjoy it, and of course because i see how much other people like my
skins. (Which makes me really happy, yay) But the thing is, i would not enjoy
making skins that are out of my style range. I just don't. And if i did, i'd get
super bored of making skins in no time :/
I see a lot of skinners that make the same style teen skins as i do, for example:
Mymagic12
Cheekehpanda
Katy_love
PonyGoggles
(Check them out :D)
And i could name many more. The thing is, what i'm trying to say is that the skinners i just
mentioned are great skinners, even though they make similar things, just like i make similar
skins to my previous ones.
-I'm sure they enjoy making that style of skin, just like i do.
I think it's important to do what you like. This is PMC, not a job, not something i HAVE to do.
Don't get me wrong, i really do appreciate all the good ideas that people give me, and i enjoy
when people send me ideas. What i don't like, is when people try to tell me why i should
change.
Why i should make other style skins, when i don't want to.
Now, this isn't because i don't want to branch out, or because i want to stay in my comfort
zone. It's simply because, i do what i enjoy doing. Making these "generic" teen skins. And
honestly? i'm not forcing anyone to download my skins, or even subscribe. It's completely your choice.
If you think all my skins are generic, then don't. If you like them, it'd be lovely if you did.
All i'm saying is. I like soft shading, i like cute faces, long hair, and all that sort of stuff.
I don't enjoy making skins with super harsh shading, i don't enjoy making monster skins etc. I just.. don't? :/
Jealousy?
I get a lot of messages like "omg you post skins so fast, it doesn't leave us great skinners a
chance to get on the pop reel" - quote from lvl 9 skinner.
And things like "Your skins are all the same omg how did you even get subscribers"
I understand, that if someone really thinks that my skins are the same thing re-posted over and
over again, would be mad/jealous that they didn't get as many subscribers. But people need to
start being happyyyyyyy, this is planet minecraft, it's a FUN site!
It's not a competition, it's a fun site for people to share their work, share the stuff they LOVE doing.
So please, to all of you negative/jealous/idk people, just smileeeee, really. I don't understand why you need
to be so mad. Is it because i have more subscribers? is that what you can't handle?
I don't see why it's so bad that someone has "success". You should be happy for them. Not try to shoot them down.
Anyways, i'm getting off track. :I
Basically, this is my style, and it's the style i'll keep making. It's what i enjoy, and
honestly, who would do something they don't like, as a HOBBY? How silly would that be.
As much as i loooove making skins for all of you, i don't think it's fair to try and force me
into making skins, that are completely out of my style range. There are plenty of other
skinners who would be a much better choice then :P
I'm really not trying to sound ungrateful, mad, or anything like that. I'm just tired of the
same messages over and over again. So now everyone knows!
This is my style, and i would very much like to stick with it! :3
That being said, new ideas are always welcome!
Also.. if you really do think it's important for me to branch out, don't just say "you should
branch out your skins are all the same" because that leaves me very confused. If you want me to
branch out, send me a picture, or give me an idea of what you mean.
I might branch out in the future, who knows what will happen :3 but for now, i think i'll stick with cute "generic" skins.
-Note: I appreciate feedback, and constructive critisism. But if i see a comment that is pure mean/hateful, i'll delete&ignore. I don't want to waste my time on silly mad people >:3
