So in school I had to make a story. So I've decided to show you guys it! Tell me what you think! (It's old so :P)
I woke up suddenly after hearing screaming. The whole room around me, dark, cold and lifeless. I got up from the rock
hard hospital bed, and looked around. The dim lights flickering on and off, as if it was trying to decide whether to stay on or
off. Over to my right, I saw a table with a letter on it. In messy writing it said 'Someone help! They are coming! No! Whoever
finds this, go towards Chicago, There will be help, look for a man by the name of Dr. Rose, ask him about the tower’ Who
and what is that? I wondered as I closed the letter. I walked towards the door and slowly opened it. As I walked out, I saw
blue eyes staring at me, and then they disappeared. I walked down the corridor and saw some weapons with some
ammunition. I walked to the weapons and picked them up. To my surprise they were my favourite weapons I used in the
Australian Defence Force. They were the L85A2 and the M416 CQB. I walked down the corridor and saw something. I
aimed at it and said Do not move! It replied in a scared kind of voice 'Please don't hurt me!' I said get up and then I asked
him 'What's going on mate?' He whispered and said 'The zombie apocalypse' I then said well we better move. We walked
around the hospital looking for survivors and resources. We met another survivor. So there are 3 of us so far. What are your
names? Mine is Jared I said, mines Liam and mines Harry. Alright. Let's go get some gear from the shop across the road.
We ran across the road and into the shop. We searched around and Liam then yelled out to Harry and I, ‘Awesome! I just
found a M40A5 bolt action!’ Harry then yelled out ‘Wow, this place is a jackpot! I’ve just found a P90!’ I ended up finding
some ration packs which had some bacon and other bit and pieces of food. I had also found a suppressor and red dot
sight for my L85A2. Liam then yelled to us, ‘Shh! I hear footsteps’. We decided to see if it came to us, since we were unsure
what it was, so we had our guns ready. It ended up coming to us. It was a zombie! Harry fired 3 to 4 shots into it before it fell
to the ground. Guys note that the zombies have blue eyes, a scaly spikey back and a rubbery type of skin I said to Harry and
Liam. ‘We should keep moving’, suggested harry. As we walked out of town, all that we saw was a very old rugged road,
some trees with autumn leaves and large greenish, brownish hills. ‘We should head for the hills’ I suggested. As we
walked slowly towards the hill, making sure no one was around, we heard a woman crying. ‘Should we go and help?’ Liam
asked, Harry replied ‘No, it’s too risky, could be a trap. Sorry, but we can’t help even if she is in need.’ Finally after hours of
walking we found Chicago. We looked around the town square for a man called Dr. Rose. After a few minutes of searching,
we found him. ‘Hello’ I said in a friendly manner. ‘Well who are you?’ He said very curiously. ‘Well I’m Jared, and I’ve walked
all the way from Miami, Florida.’ ‘I read a letter and it said to come here, and meet you.’ ‘We thought you knew something
about the tower?’ I said. ‘Follow me’. ‘Ok, so the tower is here in Orlando. If you get there, you can save us all.’ We said
thanks and we headed off. We arrived in Orlando, after many hours of walking. We looked around for a tunnel that had a
large door on it made out of steel. As we were searching around the dark old town, we saw something in the sky. We
looked up at it and it looked like a shooting star. But then, the next thing we know, zombies had got Liam down to the
ground, unconscious. Harry and I ran into cover in the near-by trees and started firing. Once we had killed all the zombies
surrounding Liam, we went down to get him to a safe spot. As we walked away, looking for a safe spot to rest for the night,
shots were being fired behind us, and landing near our feet. We ran and got into cover. The firefight woke Liam up. ‘Cover
me, I will move up and cover you guys with the sniper.’ Liam said to us. We started firing from where the shots came from.
But then, somehow the people firing at us stopped. They seemed to be dead, and then, from behind the small hill, rised 2
of my mates from the military. ‘Jared, are you ok?’ They yelled ‘Sure am!’ I said in a cheerful voice. ‘Who are these guys’
Asked Liam and Harry suspiciously. ‘There my mates from the military, Miles and Charlie!’ I said. ‘So you guys looking for
the tower as well?’ Miles asked me. ‘Sure am’ so off they went looking for the tower. Charlie then yelled ‘GUYS! I THINK I
FOUND IT!’ We all rushed over to her, and right in-front of us was the tower. Harry said ‘I’ve got this one’ He typed in the
code on the lock and the door slowly opened. As we walked inside, we saw lights, for the first time in fifteen years. ‘The
book says, we need to go to level 12’ We took the elevator down to level 12. As we went down we could feel the energy from
the speed of the elevator rush against us, like it was a wave. We stopped on level 12 and looked around. ‘I think this is it’
Miles yelled out to us. We came over to miles and I said ‘Yep, looks like that in the book’ ‘Well let’s do this!’ said Liam. ‘This
is my code, I developed it in college.’ Harry said to us. ‘Ok. This should work. Are we sure we want to do this? You know the
chance of something happening?’ ‘That’s one in a million, don’t worry.’ Liam said. Miles and Charlie asked ‘Of what
happening?’ ‘Well… If it doesn’t work, we could destroy the world. But that’s a one in a million chance.’ ‘3…2…1…’ and
Harry hit the button. ‘We are still here! It worked!’ We took the elevator back up and saw that all the zombies lifeless, on the
ground. We then started to see humans walking out of homes, and shops. ‘Woo! We actually did it!’ But then, the earth
started to shake, lighting started hitting the ground. We all ran back into cover of the tower. ‘Uhh oh…’
