Ah, the wonderful forests full of woodland creatures. Pokey hedgehogs, skinny wolves and of course the father of all the whimsical animals; the papa bear. But there one clever, tricky and beautiful beast lurking among them.

The mystical creature is called the fox. It’s crimson vibrant fur shine brightly against the warm sun, as it pranced around the daisy fields. He scans the wild surroundings for any dangers.

The orange fox twisted his little ears towards the rushing and scraping noises in the fantastic forest. He stood still as a stone statue. He heard fiercest gunshots in far distance.

The small fox waited for it to stop suddenly. But only hazel squirrels hid among the high trees, deers bolted across the green meadow and birds flapped their tiny wings from the dreadful sound. The young fox sunken low to earthy ground as he heard the hunters coming closer to him. The heavy breathing of canine dogs draw near and they spotted the helpless creature.

They barked and hollowed for their master as the darted after the poor fox. But the wise fox outsmarted the dumb beasts that chased his bushy tail by jumping in the cold water leaving not one single trait for them to sniff out. He laughed to himself about the adventure; but sudden, his heart skipped a beat when he heard a metal clack behind his back. The red and orangish fox titled his head around and only to see a ruthless hunter pointing his rifle at him.

The fox looked into the man’s evil eyes as he pulled the trigger. There was no where to hid, no where to escape and no where to ran. He accepted his faith. A fellow human jumped in front the man and grabbing his gun away from whimsical creature. The shot was fired and wounded the small fox in the leg. The young fox tried to limp away from the hunters, but the sharp pain attacked him.

Helplessly laying on the fresh ground, the resuser comes to aid. He tried to reason and earn his trust with mysterious beast. But the fox hold his fortified ground. When finally, he let the kind stranger took him in his arm and be taken care of. He bandaged his bloody wound, feed him some tasty chicken and gave a place to sleep near the cozy fire.

Two months past, his friend let him go back to vibrant woods. The spirited fox dashed through the flowery fields, swimmed in the freshwater and played hide and seek among the pine trees. His friend watched him majestic pet prancing in the forest. And he thought to himself about how the life of a smart fox can be still a secret to many people unknown.
