In 2015, lots game communities shared Telltale Games' announcement that the beta of their upcoming new series, Minecraft: Story Mode, was available for the public to play this weekend at PAX Prime 2015 in Seattle. Later that year Telltale had much bigger news for their new franchise.

Telltale Games announced that Minecraft: Story Mode will be the first Telltale series to feature a main character where the player chooses their appearance. That's right! Players will be able to choose from many options when crafting an appearance for both male Jesse or female Jesse, the game's playable hero. Telltale has also released a six new screenshots from the game featuring different versions of both male and female Jesse. See all six screenshots in the slideshow gallery.

The season premiere of Minecraft: Story Mode was set to release quite soon that Fall on PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Wii U as well as iOS and Android-based devices.
