Ode 1: An ode to licorice
Oh, licorice,
I see you black as a void,
Hated by many.
Oh, licorice,
Thank you for jumping
In my mouth
And
Bringing me joy.
Oh, licorice, you are exceedingly
Delicious.
Ode 2: An ode to Licorice
Oh, Licorice,
I see you in your transparent home,
Sleeping in your nest.
Oh, Licorice,
Thank you for comforting me
Like a quiet friend
On a
Rainy day.
Oh, Licorice, you are my
Best bud.
I wrote these odes three years ago and I thought that they would be nice to put in the Love Poem Contest.
I know that these may be two poems but they don't go well without the other.
The second ode is to my gerbil Licorice He passed away two years ago and this ode is a nice reminder of him.
