This post is generally about how I view griefers and why I really don't understand people who don't hate them like I do. Also: Admins. Because science. Let's get to it.
I personally think Griefers are simply out to get satisfaction by ruining another's day, like stepping on a sandcastle at the beach. This is nothing new. However, I think they mainly do this because they find themselves dumbstruck by how other people can make such good creations, or, how can they be so mean to ME about what I make, when thier creations suck?!
Griefers are usually out to ruin someone's day because they feel they are boasting or are being mean. For example, Server_Owner45 just made a new minecraft server which he claims is the best one ever made, can handle any amount of lag, and can fit huge amounts of players. Low and behold, Griefinns67 Sees this post and gets about 30 other people he knows to all go play on the server. Due to the amount of players already on, AND the 30 players added, the game begins lagging, but that isn't enough, so Griefinns67 gets all his friends hooked up with TNT and some levers to blast the server to smithereens, therefor putting Server_Owner45 in his place!
From Server_Owner45's point of view however, they are a bunch of arrogant dicks who take no other pleasure than to ruin the game - Schaudenfraude.
In general, don't be cocks about your server or your building skills, as odds are someone's gonna grief your ass. badly.
ADMINS
An Admin's sole purpose is to be watchful and stone-cold justifying if something goes wrong. I'm sure you've all seen Variede's video, "Meet the Admin". While some take this as a joke, I see it as a shocking truth: Some servers allow you to pay money to become an admin, and this promotes abuse of power and corruption.
Adventinator346 just wanted to go on an adventure, but when he stepped out of an invisible boundarie he wasn't warned about by Corrupt_Admin866, the Admin was alerted and he instantly banned him. The server didn't have a website, and he couldn't post about the server on any web pages or contact the owner, so Corrupt_Admin866 kept on banning people for this, until there were only about 3 or 4 loyal people left on the server, Corrupt_Admin866 announced his Resignation from the game, and proceded to leave everything within a 10,000 block radious of the spawn in a smoldering crater.
All-In-All, just because someone is griefing doesn't mean they're a heartluss asshole who doesn't like anyone in the world, they may just not like YOU. just aswell, Admins aren't always your friends. Server owners, be careful whom you give special priveledges to. Seriously.
