Popularity Expansion - Why Some Get It, And Why Others Don't.
I have gained over 300 subscribers since I started, back in November last year. That is a huge milestone for me, and I greatly appreciate everyone who was willing to support me. I have gotten quite "BIG" I guess you could say, especially over the passed few months on PMC. You could say I have stood out of the crowd, so has my work. But I mean, there are other great bloggers out their, who's work blends in with the crowd, and they don't really gain the attention that they truly deserve. There is always a reason behind something, but what are those reasons?Ever since the day I started, my rate of subscribers has been tremendously high. After a week I was over 60 subscribers. But sometimes I notice one's decent work, only to notice the amount of subscribers they lack. Mainly from what I notice, the people who lack subscribers, are the people who remain quite, and don't really join in. They don't really post much comments or feedback, they are very inactive on the website, yet they post decent content.
You see, if you give someone feedback, they may go to your profile, and grab some ideas from you. I do this, but not exactly full on copy that person, I relate to their work. But, if you aren't there to help others, they aren't there to help you!
I spend heaps of my free time on PMC, just scrolling through the pop-reel and recently posted. I always find some decent work, and work that needs further improvements, and instead of hating on them, I give them feedback, and sure enough, progressively, they DO improve. Just like me. I was a terrible blogger, but through feedback and support, I slowly advanced, and now look where I am today.
So if you believe you don't have as many subscribers as you deserve, activity is the key. Post on a regular basis, and give others feedback, and constructive criticism. If others like you, they will most likely subscribers, and support you, as they are treating you with respect. So, if you want more attention, go grab it! Don't sit out, crouching in the corner. Go out their and enjoy it while you can!
