Hello, I am a server Owner myself and had the same problems when i started....
1. First of all You need to know the Username and password Of your Router...

2. If You know that you are going to have to find something that says: "Port forwarding"(Usually under "NAT") Then You press Create...

3. Now you are going to have to open your command On your Computer Press Windows button+ R To open run then type in "Cmd" Then in there type "ipconfig" And some stuff should come up... Scroll to the top where it says "Default gateway" And type that in the ip address on the port forwarding page

4. Name the Port Anything, Then make the Port number itself "25565" And Your done!

5. Open your Command again and Under "default gateway" It should say "IPV4 address" now open your Server.properties and under "ip address" Type in your IPV4 address"

I know thats not the best way to explain it... IF you dont understand message me
