Hi guys, Greytopher here with another blog. I know I posted one four hours ago, but this can't wait, as it's still on my mind. I want to talk about posting content for the love of it, not because you have to.
Posting What You Love...
No matter what website you upload to, Planet Minecraft, Youtube, or whatever, don't let that popularity mumbo jumbo get to your head. Recently, I've been posting my Medieval Houses Series, and I've been getting a lot of weird responses from it. I've been talking with some of my friends, and I got questions like "They're not getting popular, why are you uploading them?"
All I could do was stare at my screen, somewhat not believing what they just said. All I could think about is how people WANT to get popular, and upload for hopes of getting popular. This somewhat sickens me that people would do this; although getting 'known' is nice, and having a lot of subscribers is a cool add-on, that's not the point. The point of this being, is to upload things because you love it. Not because of being popular.
I post my Medieval Houses Series only to get less than 100 views. So what? I love doing this, it's making me get back into building and it's a sad excuse for my next project but that's beside the point! It has also opened a new door for me; as uploading Youtube videos is actually really fun. I could care less about getting popular, since that's not the point. I want to care about uploading quality things that I'm proud of. Think about it this way: When you post things, you post for quality. Although it may not get popular, you're proud of what you make, and what you do. But, as a little bonus, it gets on the popular reel. Think of getting on the popular reel a bonus. Don't stop uploading good things because you're desprate to get on there again.
Posting Because You Have To?
Watching people post something after they've hit the reel is actually really interesting. That first post that got popular versus the ones after that TRUELY show how someone can handle something. If they post crap things, but have a couple 100 subscribers shows that they aren't dedicated to the website, and are only in it for the popularity. But, even if someone doesn't get popular, but they post awesome things, they deserve to be up there. I've seen many people, many of my friends, who were low levels, but uploaded the best content I could ever see, finally hit that one post, and do you know what? They proceeded to do the same exact thing after that, and they're continuously growing.
I've seen people post just to post, which is quite sad in a sense. They post that one blog that's so amazing, then they post things that utterly don't make sense. They're in a desperate need of that fame again, not because they love their subscribers, or they love what content they put out. For me, if I don't love my content, I usually don't post. I don't want to waste my time nor disappoint my subscribers with an act of desperation. The moral of the story is: don't post because you have to, post because you want to. Love the work you put out, don't feel forced!

A question: is it bad if I want more views? I like just posting stuff I made because they give joy to me and I hope they give joy to others, but sometimes I feel like my hard work is just falling into a deep pit abyss part of PMC to be never seen again. Sometimes I even feel like this
Me: ALRIGHT! THE "blog/skin/etc" IS DONE!
God or Bad Luck or whatever: NOPE! *takes my work and picks up poop with it*
Me: T.T
I may be exaggerating, and probably am, but is it bad if I want more views than I have now?
