so here is my proof
in the ancient city there are pillager outposts
so as u all know the wardens texture is so simular to a axolotl
and pillager outposts have allays so what if the axolotl and allay are combind into one mob and maybe the sculk somehow formed them into 1 mob.. or the portal at the middle of the ancient city had something to do with it.......

anyways i also have another theory comming out in 3 days about the portal

this was a short theory but next time there will be more to say

That is a very good theory! However I think that wardens are dead axolotls or they are some kind of axolotl leader! Because they don’t attack axolotls when they are around but they destroy other mobs.

I had a theory that's an axolotl too, but adjusted to the local biome and mutated
