Q: How do you get YOUR feathers?

Level 50 : Grandmaster Dragonborn

So, as you can see by the picture, I breed/wait for eggs of chickens then throw them. Since zombies stopped dropping feathers, my feather supply has recently dwindled. I've been doing this chicken spawn trap feather collector thingy ma jig for a while but have a VERY small amount of feathers due to the fact chickens don't drop feathers 100% upon death. Any ideas? Comments? Input? Post them in the comments.

For a better chicken farm, put your chickens in a room with a floor of water held up by signs. They will float above the water and drop their eggs through it. The water can carry the eggs to you somewhere so you can easily gather them all. Then just throw the eggs into the water-floor room and when you have enough chickens to your satisfaction, kill them of course. But this should get you chickens faster than the room you have shown in the picture above. Hope it helps.
