I'm sick of everyone on Planet Minecraft complaining in the comments of a featured project for the contest, with statements such as "Ah snap you ruined my chances of winning." It seems that 1/2 the comments are soemthing along the lines of this! I see two problems here.

NUMBER 1: Not complementing, whining.

Instead of saying good job, awesome!, real nice! etc. many people are focus on saying "Oh no now i can't win." First off, most of these people need to be a little more realistic. I know I'm sounding harsh, and I'm not great at building either, but there are some people who are just fantastic. Others should just focus on building their own projects. It's not all about the biggest fanciest resort. Maybe your idea is really good, and with some good execution you could do well too! Complementing someone else's work is different to complaining about your own. These people may feel bad, because through their hard efforts they feel like they wrecked someone else's!

NUMBER 2: It's not all about winning!

Another thing people don't realise, is although it's a competition, your main goal should to be to enjoy the creation and sharing it with everyone. There are only 3 winners, and out of the many people joining, it's a tough competition. Winning is great and all, but if you don't enjoy it, don't enter! I've only entered 1 skin contest, and that was because i was inspired to make a skin from the theme. I didn't join the others in asperation of winning (partially because I'm realistic), btu I wasn't inspired either.
