Hello Planet Minecraft, it's me 48productions. Today I will be telling you 5 reasons why you shouldn't use "Free" Minecraft account generators or Mineshafter. Some of these reasons only apply to Mineshafter, some only apply to generators, some apply to both. I have marked if a reason applies to one or both methods.

1) It's illegal! (Generators and Mineshafter)
Unless you bought Minecraft for yourself, you are using the demo version provided by Mojang, or you got it as a gift from a friend, a free account is illegal!!! It's piracy. Period. You can't argue about it at all.

2) It doesn't do multiplayer (Mineshafter only)
EDIT: Sorry, I forgot about cracked servers. This one really isn't a good point now. Just move on...
I once heard of a program called Mineshafter. It was a program that made the Minecraft launcher think your non-premium account was in fact a premium account and let you play the game. However, if you use this, you won't be able to play on a Minecraft server like (Fun minecraft server here).

3) Those links contain viruses (Generators, possibly Mineshafter)
I don't have the time nor the will to test every single link to see if it's a virus, but I, and most others, are pretty darn sure that those links contain viruses, or to be more specific, malware in general. You might think getting malware is as brutally hard as clicking a link, but you can get malware by visiting an infected website, opening an infected email, or by getting a piece of malware on your computer that gives you even more malware. Malware is also a lot worse than just deleting your files and lagging your computer. Take a few examples of a few real computer viruses.

• Crypto Locker. This virus encrypts your files using a randomly generated key. It then asks you to pay $300 in ransom for the key. Without the key, your files are pretty much gone.
  
  
• Alureon. This virus is nearly impossible to remove. Once on your computer, it disables your anti-virus software, and hides any evidence of it being on your computer. With your anti-virus software disabled, other malware can easily infect your computer.
  

I could go on for days about this stuff, or go into a LOT more detail, but I want to make this short, so on to number 4!!!

4) Mojang doesn't get paid (Generators and Mineshafter)


Think about it. You worked for years on a game. You put it up for sale at $20. If you don't get paid for years of hard work, will you want to make updates to it? No. If you don't get paid for your work, you won't and probably can't update it. If noone paid for Minecraft, would 1.7 even exist? 1.6? 1.5? 1.4? No. Mojang would run out of money to develop Minecraft, and there would be no updates. If there were no updates, Minecraft would get boring after a while.

5) Gift code generators (Obviously generators only)


I wanted to make a note for code generators in general. Code generators generate a random number that looks like a gift code. Truth is, that number actually is or will be a gift code. Here's how it really plays out:

*Pirate: I used a glorified random number generator to get a gift code. *Enters code into minecraft.net* Yay! I have free premium Minecraft!

A few minutes later...

*Random person who just got a legit Minecraft gift code: Oh boy! I got Minecraft as a gift! *Enters code into minecraft.net* Code already used?! What the...
