Respect. The definition for the word Respect is "a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements."[Source: Google] The word it self is barely used anymore and can affect a lot of people. In the Minecraft Community, this word is not used. After working on server, project, skin, mod, program, you will never see/hear the word respect come from another person. It can mean a lot to someone by showing your appreciation to how much someone has worked on the project.

For me be being a server developer and coder myself. Not having anyone say this, is to me an insult. Here is a short story about what happened. After working on my friends server and help setup plugins, create custom plugins for some special stuff to work as well. I ran into someone saying how fake I was. This where the situation can make you seem fake. With the person saying I was fake and acted like he knew everything I still responded. He asked questions like "What did you even do to be called a developer?", "What language do you even code in?", "What programs for the server or spare time have you made?" I am going to answer these questions in order.

Q: What did you even do to be called a developer?
A: The definition for Developer is "a person or thing that develops something." [Source: Google] I have developed a plugin that can make the server easier to interact with other situations such as abusing and make simple answers to questions the people ask.

Q: What language do you even code in?
A: If you don't know programming, there are many programming languages that you can write code in such as C++, Java, C#, etc. I code in websites as well such as PHP, JavaScript, and of course HTML5 along with CSS. Other than the website languages, I mainly code in C#, C++, F#, and Java.

Q: What programs for the server or spare time have you made?
A: I have created a custom coinflip plugin that is not released on the server yet. I have made launchers and some software to help your PC. (I will not put any direct links to the software or plugins I develop due to people decompiling the program and product being unfinished and unstable.)

People that put time into there creations or projects deserve a ton of respect instead of being harassed that they steal ideas or skins or anything for a matter of fact. If you see someone that put a lot of detail into a project or creation. Just make sure to let them know what their weak point is, it will help them in their career/hobby. Don't be the type of person to assume that they are lying because you don't know what it is like to be in their shoes and create the stuff you like or enjoy.
