This devblog we're showing off many more custom models we've made for weapons and decoration, and the beginnings of our process of building the city of ancient Capua...
We'll start with the pretty pictures first. Please note that what you see is considered work-in-progress and many things you see here will be subject to future changes!
Starting off with a nice view of one of the main streets of Capua headed towards the gates. During the time of the Romans, Capua was the second largest city in Italy after Rome itself, so there was no shortage of urban sprawl within the confines of the city. Many parts of the city will look like this with all sorts of activities, commerce, and bustle happening day to day.

You can see in the outlines in the distance our builders have really got their work cut out for them, but we think it'll really pay off in the end! We did this housing block in no time so we're definitely making steady progress. In the future we'll post a full project post on this city once its complete.
And then a few shots from within the legions urban garrison...
A nice little blacksmith shop for legionaries to get repairs done.
Here's a fiery shot from inside of the temple of Mars in the legion garrison. You can see our new armor stand model of a marble statue to depict the likeness of Mars himself! Thanks to Taku17, for the original model was adapted from his own Takus Player Armor Stands. Some of our new 3D decor items are here too.
Next we have new weapon models. We made some improvements to the blade profile of the gladius models from last time, with their now being more then one type of blade shape.
Hispaniensis Gladius shown on the left, Mainz Gladius shown on the right. Blades are now much thinner and pointier compared to previously!

No legionary would be worth his salt without his trusty Pilum to throw! We've made a model that turns the trident into a pilum with proper displays for first and third person perspectives and throwing perspectives.

You can see the pilum in the cover image too. Last but not least, our latest batch of decoration items to spruce up the ancient world of Romecraft.
Perfect for any roleplay occasion, from forging a gladius to cooking a tasty meal, to writing an epic speech over a glass of Roman wine!
Some of the decor models were adapted with permission from the Mizunos 16 Craft CIT Pack, so many thanks to them!
We're really stepping up the immersion aspect of this server more then any other Romecraft server before...
This is only a glimpse into everything we've worked on this past few weeks. We're constantly making changes and additions to other textures, models, buildings and plans for server mechanics. You'll be able to see it all once the server is ready to go. Next devblog we'll be covering more builds, textures, models, and anything else we whip up in the mean time. Pretty soon we'll have more information on server mechanics and the setting/lore.
