Season 1.5: The Time Machine
Chapter 20: Track No.7 "Mall"
Professor and Ender were thinking what to do. He still had 4 discs left to test out, and Ender Sparkle didn't want to use them.
- Ender, these discs are different. Only discs that have more potential are recordings 11 and 13, which don't hold a tiny domain, but are recordings of an actual story!
- Yeah? What about last 3 discs? They had a story, a pretty interactive one, and came out thinking about their possible existential crises even more than with the first category!
- These are extra important. They have properties that inspired me to make this very Time Machine! They actually temporarily teleport you to that place in space and time! I remember I once sprinkled some redstone dust over the disc and later when I checked through a barely graphic monitor, it showed me it was in that place! Sadly that record got lost during an inspection...
- You lost a disc?!
- No, I meant the record where it was written that the redstone dust teleported. Please, for these ones, it's just a request. It's important since I have to write out a new report for all of these with new equipment and greater knowledge.
- I better not regret agreeing.
When Ender Sparkle inserted the disc into the jukebox module and put the headset on, it didn't work. Professor told her that for these 4 discs a special capsule is needed. The capsule was one of early prototypes of the Time Machine, it could transfer the person for a temporary period of time. Needed changes were installed and the adventure began.
Ender Sparkle woke up on an almost airless snowy planet. Oddly, it had a small spruce-like tree, a frozen river and an igloo - it looked almost like a part of a snowy Overworld biome has been transported onto a faraway glo- I mean cube. The small dot that was the sun was rising, making the sky paint itself in a faint blue shade, under the only circumstance when the sky is not transparent. Ender checked the igloo, and it also looked ordinary - same furnishing as always. But the basement... It was no ordinary one. It led to a giant ice maze. Ender Sparkle went inside it to explore, and when she tried to clear her way using acidic fire. Some parts required crawling or hopping like a duck. The edges were very smooth, sharp but not the sharpest. In general, the entire planetoid seemed to perfectly in a perfect circle outline, and the celestal body-wide maze would make it look like a chaos pearl (no, not the squid person, the shape of a world). Sudden feeling of time running out made her stop casual exploring and heading towards the center. Oddly, there was no core. Instead, in its place, an odd machine resided. It looked like a teleporter, and it indeed was one, teleporting E.S. back to her time and space.
- How was it?
- Weird planet without air. It looked like a piece of a tundra on the outside, but looked like a chaos pearl on the inside. The whole thing was a maze made of unmeltable ice and at the center there is a teleporter that has brought me back here. For how long was I here? Four hours?
- Three minutes and seventeen seconds.
- SO HOW DOES THE TIME WORK?!
- It's a disc, it also takes a small amount of your time like the others. But this one, just like the three next allow you to make changes in reality. Second disc of the bundle is "Wait". The music alone makes people feel nostalgia... Also, that's the one where you're searching for redstone.
