Hello Planet Minecraft, Many people don't know me as someone who can Shade a skin well, but in this tutorial I will give a tutorial on 4 various ways on how to Shade a Head perfectly!!
Only in the Corners
Step 1. Fill entire head with 1 flat color
Step 2. Put 3 Pixels in the shape of an 'L' on each corner
Step 3. Add a lighter version of the corners and do as shown below
(Notice: It's ok to stop adding shade when the final part reaches the 2 Pixels in between each color)
(Notice the filled bit. That is where you should stop)
Step 4. Add Facial Features
DONE
Only in the Corners #2
Step 1. Fill head with 1 Flat color
Step 2. Add 1 Darker version of the original Color to the tip of each Corner
Step 3. Change the color of the color in each corner into a brighter color and keep doing that until it reaches the 2 Pixels
Step 4. Add Facial Features
DONE
Dark to Light (Top to Bottom)
Step 1. Fill Entire head with 1 Flat Color
Step 2. Add Dark to top as an 8 Pixel Wide and go down one and put 6 through that part as well (Do same with other Side)
Step 3. Right next to the 6 Pixel wide part of the head should be a 1 empty Slot. Go up 2 Pixels and fill in between where the pixel should go with an updated version of the bright and dark color. (Dark gets brighter at bottom part, and Light gets brighter at Top Part) If you don't Understand just do as the Picture shows.
Step 4. Add Facial Features :P
(Notice: This style is not as Realistic as the Other ones you've seen it)

Frame Shade
Step 1. Fill entire head with 1 Flat Color
Step 2. Choose a Dark version of the color you selected. Hard to Explain; Just look at the Dang Picture!
Step 3. Change the Dark color to a semi - Brighter version of it and support the sides of the dark part of the Skin with the new color you selected.
Step 4. Take the new color and brighten it by a tiny bit and fill the Left and right of the head that has not been shaded yet with the new color!
(Recommended: Make a Shrek skin with this style Shade!!)
